Won't be back. Use to be my go to places. Went today for the first time in about a year and the prices have skyrocketed. Use to be about $12 for a meal now cheaper meals like $16. Appetizers not much of a selection and prices extremely high. Most places are between $6-8 here its $10 plus. Orderef WELL done burger the only part that was well done was the outside which was black and tasted like charcoal. Inside was barely medium. Fries have way to much powdery seasoning on them. Kids won't eat fries like that and we had 3 kids meals they couldn't eat the fries and I couldn't eat all mine it was so overpowering. Service was horrible. A guy introduced himself then disappeared never to be seen again. I think the manager eventually brought our drinks and took our order and also disappeared while most of us sat with empty glasses for at least 10 min. Appetizer came no offer of refills. Dinner came finally a refill. Everyone missing in action the rest of the meal.Then the end the guy shows back up to give us boxes and a check. No more refills the entire time and no one checked on us. Completely disappointing since I loved this place and frequented at least monthly before we had the long stretch between this last time. I was astonished to see a lot changed. Pricing was shocking and service went out the window. I think it was telling that the place was dead and before it was always really busy. Probably gonna price themselves out of business and with the service non existent to boot they may well be on the way out before long....so sad cuz I loved this place since moving here in 2015....đŞ Update: I'm not sure why I would need to call the restaurant to discuss anything I just pretty much laid it out in detail here. The only thing offered here is an offer to call knowing most people won't as its an uncomfortable conversation. So they bank on just being able to offer on here to semi save face in front of readers hoping it pressures u into NOT really calling.    Read moreI am extremely impressed by the customer service of BJâs in norman and the manager SHIRLY, and because of this I have bragged to my parents and 4 sisters and their husbands. On Motherâs Day I ordered from Uber eats and my order was screwed up and I could not eat my pizza and salad because of the mess up. I understood because it was understandably a busy and hectic day for them. Two days later I was still craving that same pizza I wasnât able to eat because of an allergy to tomatoâs. I even put in parentheses this time the reason I did not want this ingredient included and specified it was due to me being allergic. I also ordered my 3 year old and one year old a pizza to share along with mash potatoes and fruit and a drink. The only thing delivered was the tavern pizza covered in tomatoâs. My toddlers had waited already for Uber eats to bring us the food and toddlers are not known for being patient and understanding about these type of things and the Uber eats delivery driver didnât seem to care or want to help so I called up at bjs. SHIRLY was amazing and was extremely professional and understanding and I called being pretty frustrated I had to do this the 2nd time within 3 days and was missing food. I ended up loading my screaming toddlers up and headed up to bjs to pick up our food that was suppose to be delivered. I had determined this would be our last meal from BJâs at least for a long time due to all the mistakes and having to deal with trying to fix them. I am now even more encourage to order /dine with bjs now more then ever and want to brag on them to anyone willing to listen. They fixed their mistake and kept me a customer knowing they will take care of me One way or another! Thank you SHIRLY for making it right! Okay first of all, the restaurant architecture, bathroom, booths, windows and everything are beautiful. But the lighting is horrid. I tried to take a selfie with my table and my phone thought I was in the dark. I just wouldnât recommend this lighting for any first impressions or first dates.
Secondly, my party of 3 came in at around 3pm and it seemed pretty slow. There were probably 5 tables in the restaurant total. And the service was lowkey slow.. Our waitress was very respectful and memorized our orders correctly without a pen and paper, which I found impressive. But she didnât greet us until 10-12 minutes after we were sat, she forgot our straws, whoever was making our floats forgot to, and she in general just seemed stressed. I felt bad for her but also, I mention this because I wouldnât recommend this restaurant if you have plans for after eating.
Third of all, my burger tasted bad. I got the mushroom Swiss burger and I finished it because I wasnât paying for the bill.. but I swear I will never eat there again. My bun was burnt on the inside and the meat had no flavor.. it was a pretty big burger. My group suggested the sour flavor I was getting was from the Swiss cheese- But Iâm not sure. The sauce on the burger was great but the burger itself doesnât even compare to a McDonaldâs Big Mac. My fries were crunchy and perfectly salted, but also had that firey burnt flavor that I didnât like. It felt like 90% crunch and 10% soft potato center. Wouldnât recommended for picky eaters such as myself.. wasnât worth the $16
