this is a nice affordable dive bar with 2 pool tables in good condition, the pool sticks kinda suck for the most part there's a few alright ones. I really appreciate the bartender for noticing I left my card behind when I paid my tab and they grabbed it, I noticed pretty quickly that it wasn't in my bag and just had to go ask them about it, such a relief! the outdoor area for smoking is a nice size, but if it's cold bring layers! also I personally don't go here when it's busy just because I'm disabled and it gets much too packed in there for me to get through, seems like a popular spot! but definitely a chill place when they're not busy if you just want a few drinks and some pool.

Long time patron, first time poster for Bluebonnet Bar. This place has an easy going, paid back atmosphere with a hard working staff that looks to ensure all of its customers are taken care of and happy while inside their doors. They have a decent sized stage for live music. Their drink prices are very reasonable and competitive with everyone in the downtown/Campus Corner area in Norman.

The bluebonnet is a great local dive bar with ice cold beer and good drinks! They have some of the best local talent for the Norman Music Fest including Rachel Lynch and the day drinkers! We enjoy catching local shows here outside of NMF also.

Norman's oldest bar. Edit: So when a place isn't the greatest, but isn't bad I give it 3 stars. 3 stars is average. I said this is Norman's oldest bar to let people know of it's Historical value. Blue bonnet claims to be an inclusive establishment, but the owner took offense of my review and told me this is not the bar for me. Well this is very disheartening and in no way inclusive. I have supported this establishment and have spent well over a hundred bucks a pop on an uncountable number of different occasions. Maybe I could have given 4 stars to be nice, it is to bad that the owner feels the need to drive patrons away if they don't give a 5 star review. I now have mixed feelings about supporting an establishment I have always enjoyed just for the fact that the owner feels the need to be anything but inclusive if you don't stroke their ego. Maybe you need to re assert how you treat the people who support you Tanner...

I’ve loved Bluebonnet for a long time and have been many times without any issues. That said, I had a disappointing experience last night. I was turned away at the door because I presented my Oklahoma medical marijuana patient card as my ID.

For the record: under Oklahoma law (37A O.S. §6-102(B)(2)), a government-issued document that shows a photograph and proves someone is 21 or older is legally acceptable for age verification. My OMMA card meets all those criteria. It’s issued by the state, includes my photo, date of birth, and expiration date — exactly what the law requires.

The door guy seemed to enjoy turning people away, which made it worse. Turning away regular customers over a perfectly legal ID is not only bad business, it’s also just unnecessary. I hate seeing a place I like lose customers over something like this.

Hope management takes a look at their door policies. Would love to keep...
