My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Sunday.. It had been a while since we've visited this location for a number of reasons, but we're quite happy to have returned!!

This Garage location is tucked into the heart of downtown Norman and has a cozier and more niche atmosphere than other Garage locations we've visited together or apart..

We sampled a basic cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, and a bacon double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo on the side.. We shared an order of fries, as well..

We washed everything down with a pair of Coronas served in frosted pint glasses, rimmed with salt, and garnished with lime..

The burgers are among our favorites anywhere.. My first bite of the bacon double cheeseburger reminded me that I don't visit The Garage, regardless of location, nearly as much as I probably should..

The burgers are weighty, grilled patties that harken back to homemade and grilled burgers at home.. The burgers are packed full of flavor, juicy, and seasoned perfectly.. The ample portion of bacon just adds to the decadence..

Our fries were a bit over salted, but flavorful regardless.. The fries and the burgers arrived at the table hot and fresh, and the Coronas were perfectly cold and crisp..

All in all, I'd say this was another wildly successful and satisfying visit to The Garage!! Counter and bar service was great to boot.. Keep up the...

Food was good, it's really nice and decorated. You order up at counter and get your own drink. I was asked if leave tip when you order and pay before service. I left 15% tip but wasn't thinking about serving myself when I paid full tip but corona has hurt a lot of people so no big deal until I asked for catsup for my fries. We received our order and sat there waiting on the guy I asked for catsup. I watched him talking to customer, other employees and standing there. He walked towards me and I asked him again for catsup. Oh he forgot. He went and did something for another customer. He walked up and asked how everything was. 🤔 good but can I get that catsup now? Oh yeah I forgot. 😳 he went back to kitchen window picking up someone's order and took it to the back. I got up and went to order spot at counter and asked for catsup. I turned around and another server was returning from tables that people had been using catsup and that's the catsup I was given to use at my table during corona 19 virus. This just blew my mind that they would had me something they know that should be cleaned before another person used. At this point my onion burger was cold as were my 🍟 fries. I always leave a tip but this time I would have kept my money. We eat out a lot because of dr trips to Norman and okc....

The Garage is a pretty good place to go for a burger and some fries, a drink on the weekend.

The Food: The food is actually rather good here. They have several options for burgers, different styles, toppings, meat (beef, buffalo, turkey). You can create your own masterpiece or simply choose one of the menu items. They have different varients on fries as well, some sea food dishes and a couple different appitizers but other than that there is not much to choose from. My experience with the food is that it is always done very well, served while still hot, and ready in a relativly short period of time.

The Establishment: The building is pretty neat overall. It is not very wide but it is extreamly long making for a cool set up inside of the building. the bar runs nearly half of the whole building so finding a seat is not a problem at all, they have several drinks to choose from and a decent selection on tap. To order you wait in a line like you would a fast food place and then take your seat where they will bring your food to. There are plenty of cool decorations haning on the walls and the ceilings to admire and talk about. There is a place in the way back of the restaurant for kids to go kind of hang...

I have heard about Oklahoma onion burgers. Thus, I went to The Garage during a lunch break to try them out. I was very happy with this decision. Located on Main Street in Norman, OK, this place is awesome. When you walk inside, you can see all the interesting things they have on the walls. You order at a counter (which is either elevated or the lady was really tall) and they give you a number for your order. The burger and fries came out very fast and very not. Those fried onions must have been placed on the burger a minute before I took my first bite. Highly recommended place for those in the area wanting to experience a truly delicious burger.

The food is always fresh and hot. They offer several different proteins, and interesting sides. Never fails to satisfy. Update: The Garage continues to impress. Had an Avocado Melt with bison, avocado, bacon, & Swiss cheese. Also comes with tomato and lettuce. It was on Texas toast, slightly crunchy texture on outside, soft and yummy inside. Yes, they serve burgers, but they also have chicken and fish, as well as tacos! To round out the experience, they have a full bar and happy hour cocktails. It's cooler and darker inside than the blazing Oklahoma sun outside. Check them out, whether you want a snack, a drink, or a meal, I think you will enjoy it.
