One of the first things that will hit you when you walk in is the rich, smokey smell of the restaurant. I great way to get your stomach excited and your salivary glands put on notice. Once you are seated, you will notice the relaxing atmosphere with its dark wood interior and subtle lighting that focuses on the table and the food, while giving the diners a sense of privacy.
We dined here on a Thursday evening with some friends. We were seated quickly at a spacious table where we did not feel crowded. Our Server was Callie who did a fantastic job of taking care of us throughout the evening.
For our appetizer, we chose the Queso with chips and salsa. Queso had great flavor and the large chips were fresh and crisp. My wife ordered the Perfect Margarita, which I also tasted. It is one of the better Margaritas you will find in Norman with a great balance of flavor.
My wife also ordered the Top Sirloin with baked potato and Caesar salad with house-made croutons. The steak was tender with great flavor and cooked as requested. We also added a skewer of Grilled Shrimp that was so tasty that I could probably make a meal of it.
Our friend ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Fried Okra and said it was very good. I ordered the Enchilada Plate which had delicious smokey grilled chicken with enchilada sauce. Outstanding flavor with a sauce that didn't overwhelm the dish. The tortillas were a little tough on the bottom, but did not negatively affect the experience.
For dessert, we ordered and shared the Key Lime Pie and the German Chocolate Cake. The pie was superb with great flavor and what seemed to be a pecan-laden graham cracker type of crust. I am not a fan of coconut, so I did not try the German Chocolate cake, but it was almost gone at the end of the meal, so I knew it must have been good.
Highly recommend the dining experience here and am looking forward to going back soon and trying the Baked Potato Soup I have heard...
Read moreOverall, disappointing experience. I’m in town on business and this location came highly recommended. Myself and my two guest ordered three waters and placed our food orders. After receiving our waters, we started chatting as guest often do in restaurants. After having two refills on my water, I noticed lipstick on my glass (lighting is not great in this location so it was not noticeable at first). My waiter, Abby, was phenomenal and did an amazing job of showing not only compassion, but was very apologetic about this issue. A manager came over and provided a lukewarm apology about the issue. However, my water was replaced and Abby, again was awesome. We looked at the silverware after this, as these types of issues often call for customers to take a close look at silverware, plates and all ofter serving materials. Abby took care of this and again, she is awesome. My colleague received cold food, which was also replaced by the first manager with the lukewarm response. A second manager walked over, asked about my experience and when I said, “not so great,” he walked away. After her food was replaced, a third manager came over to ask about our experience, to which I explained. He apologized about the experience, yet offered nothing to compensate for the cold food, or the fact that I was literally drinking from a glass with a lipstick stain on it. I left the restaurant, a few minutes ago with a detailed explanation on a receipt that I would be writing this review, as well as I will be calling corporate on Monday. 10/10 would not recommend as business meetings should not be conducted in spaces where you do not feel comfortable with the staff’s ability to handle issues of this magnitude. I spent more time at my table discussing the discontentment than the business I arrived to handle. While the food was good, the handling of the situation left much...

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of sampling various dishes from their thoughtfully curated menu, each one showcasing the kitchen's dedication to quality and flavor. However, the grilled pork chops remain my absolute favorite—a true standout that never fails to impress. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with savory goodness, they are a testament to the culinary expertise that defines Charleston's. Beyond the exceptional food, the atmosphere at Charleston's is nothing short of enchanting. The moment you walk through the doors, you're enveloped in a warm, inviting ambiance that strikes a perfect balance between cozy comfort and refined elegance. Dim lighting, tasteful décor, and a welcoming vibe create an environment that feels both special and familiar, making it ideal for everything from a romantic dinner to a celebratory gathering with friends or family. What truly elevates the experience, though, is the service. The staff at Charleston's consistently delivers top-tier hospitality, with an attentiveness that makes every visit feel personalized and memorable. From the moment you're seated to the final farewell, their professionalism and genuine warmth shine through, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for.
