El Taco Loco — Restaurant in Norman

I had a coworker pick me up a steak torta. Much to my surprise the box had 3 tortas in it! I was excited what a deal for only $5. Two of the tortas were only filled with cheese and peppers but no steak. I still ate them and I have to admit they were still great. I got to the 3rd torta and bit into a raw piece of chicken. I opened the torta up and there were 4 more pieces of completely raw chicken. I called the taco truck and spoke with a lovely lady named Maria. She first said that they hadn't made any chicken tortas recently which I replied that they hadn't made any steak ones either due to mine not having any steak on them. She then said to bring the food back to her so she could see. I threw the food away as soon as we figured out it was raw chicken. She said there was nothing they could do since it had already been thrown out. I wasn't calling to get my $5 back. I was calling to let them know they made a mistake to ensure they don't get anyone sick. A simple apology would have sufficed. Turns out that Maria is one of the managers. I'm in the hospitality industry and this is by far the worst experience I've ever encountered. NEVER AGAIN. I will ensure that this instance is known by the Norman Chamber, CVB, OK Restaurant Association and every other organization I have ties with....

This Taco truck is the best in the state, but that's just my opinion. I get the Lengua tacos and an Al Pastor burrito and it is always hot, fresh and tasty! They give you enough meat on one taco you can easily turn it into 2! I try to make it by there at least 2 or 3 times a week for lunch and the woman that takes the orders is always really nice and eager. You won't be disappointed at all, but they do not have rice or beans but what they don't have they make up for with the wide range...

This food truck is easy to miss, tucked next to a gas station just off I-35. Don't let appearances fool you, though, they have some of the best street tacos in Norman! All of their proteins are full of flavor with their chorizo being my personal favorite, and their tacos come with two great salsas and delicious pickled carrots/jalapenos.
