I love this store. I find something new, or original almost every time I'm there. The aspect I like the most is the items I see that remind me of my childhood. Items I remember my Mother and Gramdmother had in their kitchens , bathrooms, and outside porches. I'm not sure if it's a business minded decision made to hire younger adults at this location, or if it just happened to end up that way, but it somehow adds a feeling of being in a small town general store and not-so-stuffy atmosphere that I like. When checking out , their friendly, innocent, banter, and lightheartedness always has me walking out with a big smile on my face. And I also have 2 pups and this store has a super selection of everything they like and great prices. This last trip i saw a jar of sweet pickles packed with other tasty looking ingredients, with an independence local business sticker. It was visually perfect so I bought one. They were DELICIOUS! later realizing made my the Amish. No wonder they were so good. I HIGHLY recommend grabbing a jar for yourself the next time u are...
Read moreUsually I donât post reviews but I was so highly disappointed and frustrated with todays visit. My mother became ill and made a mad dash to the restroom. There were no paper towels so I walked to the front and asked the young lady working if she could get us some paper towels because there were none. After waiting over 5 min I walked back to the front and asked again to please get us some paper towelsâŚ..still waiting and my mother still ill in the bathroom stall I went to get something, anything for my mother to wash her face and take care of other issues. Thankfully , a gentleman named Eddie came and helped us and we were very grateful for his help and customer assistance. I didnât catch the young ladies name but having to go ask twice for such a simple task is horrible customer service. Let me just add that the store was not busy or I would not be quite this upset. There were 3 employees standing around at the register talking to each other so I donât know why she...
Read moreI typically purchase my chicken feed and coop supplies from here, along with the occasional dog food purchase. I love that they are well stocked in the type of chicken feed/supplies I usually buy. In fact, this store is the exact place from where I purchased my chickens. They have loads of farm type supplies, including guns, ammunition, some plants, hay bails, heat lamps, dog bowls, vitamins for chicken waterers, some household supplies, and outdoorsy clothing. I don't shop for clothes here, so I don't have much to say about what they have, but I can say they do have quality things, so go have a look and see for yourself. If you have a small farm or are the outdoor type, Atwoods may become your new favorite store...and they're located on the outskirts of Norman so you don't even have to mess with in town traffic which is nice especially when you just want to...
