La Monarca Michoacana Norman — Restaurant in Norman

The place is very clean and the food is absolutely delicious that’s why I had been going at least once a week with my family. We all really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I’m leaving a 3-star review because of a negative customer service experience that really changed things for us.

A few weeks ago, after finishing dinner, my family (four of us) went for dessert, we were celebrating the boys last day of summer break, having a great time, very happy when we started talking about the different flavors in Spanish. One of the young ladies working there suddenly turned and stared at us for a good 6–8 seconds without saying a single word... while she was helping another customer. It felt very rude and uncomfortable. We were confused, like, “what just happened?” That moment ruined the experience for us, which was really disappointing since we loved coming here. Even now, my cousins who were with me still bring it up and ask if I ever called to complain because it left us feeling so unwelcome. Sadly, we haven’t been back since and I’ve also told the rest of my family about what happened. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, because the food is amazing and wish to go back, but experiences like that push loyal...

I visited La Monarca Michoacana on their grand opening day and loved it. The popsicles were amazing, the ice cream was rich and creamy, and all of the employees were nice and helpful. I bought lots of popsicles to take home and have been enjoying all of the different flavors. I personally love the Cookie Monster and pistachio the most, but would recommend all of them. I’m so happy to have an authentic Mexican paletería in Norman. You’ve definitely got to check...

La Monarca Michoacana has been open for about a month and I am so glad I tried it out. There is a variety of snacks, desserts, homemade ice cream, popsicles, and fresh drinks to enjoy! Tried the strawberries and cream ice cream it is delicious a rich creamy flavor and not to sweet. Will return to try other things off...
