Not worth the wait. Disappointing experience. Mediocre Ramen. Came in last night with a party of 7, 6 adults and 1 child. We arrived around 7:30p, placed name on waiting list, we sat out in our vehicles till 8:34p, when we received a call that our table was ready, now mind you we were aware you closed at 9p. We got our orders in, drinks and food. When our meal was brought out, the child was the only one missing her order (she ordered one roll with rice and seaweed only). Your waiter then informed us you were out of sushi rice, he asked if there was anything else he could get her, she said edamame, your waiter literally came right back and said I'm sorry the kitchen is closed, I can get her a mochi or a different dessert (a dessert to a child who hasn't eaten dinner yet?). So you guys let a CHILD not receive the food she patiently waited an hour for. Cool, right.....? Why would you wait till everyone else is served and the kitchen is closed to tell someone you no longer have what they ordered? I would expect a small business to have more decorum than that, especially after struggling with being shut down and you probably made close to $200 off our table alone. I also had to remind the waiter of my to go order, so I hope he enjoyed his automatic gratuity added to our bills. I'll give 2 stars because the first time I patronized your business I enjoyed myself, also your staff is nice and the atmosphere is good. However, I will not be returning, after this incident and to be honest the food just wasn't that great this time. 2/10 would not recommend (trust me there are better ramen spots). Enjoy your busy season...
Read moreThis was a friend and my first time here and it was kind of disappointing. The seating was on stools which was probably authentic to some style of Japanese eatery, but was not incredibly comfortable. Something was off with the wait staff because we did not get even checked on for at least 10 minutes after we sat down even tho there were lots of staff bustling around. We ended up having to ask them to send our waiter over. Which I could overlook as a fluke if the food had been very good, but it just wasn't. We did really like the pork belly bao that we had and the gyoza was well done, but we also got the spicy chicken karrage, Tatsumaki Ramen, and Tonkatsu Rice (I think those are spelled close) and those were not great. I'm the type of weak person where a pinch of spice is really too much and the "spicy" chicken karrage had NONE. It was surprising and disappointing. The ramen was kind of sad. Although the pork belly in there was some of the best I have ever had, I think we only got one slice of it. Additionally, I felt the need to look up the difference between spaghetti and ramen because the noodles in there seemed very much like spaghetti to me. The saddest dish was the Tonkatsu Rice tho. Just imagine two deep fried pork medallions with some sort of bbq sauce and a lump of rice between them. It seemed a very Americanized dish and we were not expecting that. We ate it all, didnt really want to make a scene. And nothing was terrible, but a lot was disappointing. Which is sad because we were really excited and drove 30 minutes down to Norman to try this place out. We will...
Read moreIf you're a fan of ramen, sushi, and takoyaki, then this establishment is a must-visit. In my humble (and extremely well-informed) opinion, they have the best ramen in town – hands down. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the noodles are perfectly cooked. It's like a warm hug in a bowl, and I could slurp it down every day.
But let's not forget about the takoyaki. Oh man, it's like a little ball of heaven that's been battered and fried to perfection. The octopus is juicy and tender, and the sauce is the perfect balance of savory and sweet. It's a snack that I could eat by the dozen, and I may or may not have done just that on my last visit (no judgment please).
But it's not just the delicious food that keeps me coming back to this establishment. The atmosphere is also top-notch. It's a cozy and welcoming space, with friendly staff (shoutout to Jessica who's awesome and lovely) It's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a bowl of steaming hot ramen (or two).
And let's not forget about the prices – they're incredibly reasonable. I always leave feeling satisfied and full, without breaking the bank. It's a win-win in my book (or rather, my stomach).
But don't just take my word for it – give this place a try and see for yourself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. And who knows, you might just find yourself coming back for more (like me). So go ahead, indulge in a bowl of the best ramen in town and savor every bite of those juicy, tender takoyaki balls. Your taste buds (and stomach) will thank you....
