This is the best place to be for a football game...even if your legs cramp because everyone stands for all four quarters or you see people pass out before your eyes because it's so hot! I am so excited to go back to see the new renevations being made. I am disappointed though, that they didn't carry through with the first original plans. I understand that they were costly, but in the end isn't it better to go for broke now and have it done the best most awesome way, rather than make cut backs, do only half of things originally planned, and then in ten years do the things originally planned anyways but at a higher cost because we'll have to tear down things we're half-building instead now? I just wish that they would've stuck with the ultimate plan they originally thought of. Recently, I've spent a lot of time in College Station and I even took a tour of Kyle Field. That stadium is state-of-the-art! It has a wifi network throughout the stadium capable of having over 135,000 mobile devices connected at any given time. It has "cooler rooms" for people to go to to cool off from the Texas heat, which is a great idea! There is one thing, though, that they seem to be missing—Sooner Magic! I'll always love OU! I just wish they would not just catch-up with the rest of the big-name colleges and their stadiums, but I wish they'd step up above the others. I mean, it's not like the stadium wouldn't pay for itself eventually. Not with having sold out games every single game for 10+ years. But, beggars can't be chooser. But they do have great ideas!...

We arrived early for some tailgating. The atmosphere was so much fun as everyone was getting ready to enjoy the game. We walked around the stadium and saw lots of neat statues and areas. Our kids got to take photos with the mascots that were walking around our area. The best part was watching the Pride of Oklahoma marching band playing to get everyone ready.
The sun was hot but the Sooners were hotter! The announcer did a great job of keeping everyone engaged and participating in helping the team win. We enjoyed watching the fireworks and Sooner Schooner celebrate after many of the touchdowns.
The food selection was reasonable and the prices were as expected. We really appreciated the water stations providing free water. We had clear plastic bottles with us to refill. And we did many times to stay hydrated.
It’s important to note that you can only bring clear bags of a certain size and no food or drinks into the stadium.
Leaving the stadium is normally busy with the rush of people walking out unless you have a good path to take. There are options to park further away and take shuttles to and from the game for less effort spent dealing with navigating traffic.
We love the Sooners and hope to go to...
Read moreThis is not pointed towards the fans of Oklahoma as they were a class act! I have been to venues all across the world and have never in my life felt more unsafe than this venue. I brought my two children ages 3&5 and to have a mob of people not divided by security or stadium staff is not only unsafe but could be fatal. This was the worst I have ever seen at in my life. Not only were multiple fans crying and trying to just gain breathing room but I had to get to a point for my family’s safety to plow my way through the mob to our seats. You would think for a larger event that the stadium would prepare. They definitely did not. As for the fans, thank you for welcoming us from out of town with open arms. From the restaurants to the fans seated next to us as well at the game everyone welcomed us to with open arms and were very respectful. Unfortunately our excitement to see a blue blood battle turned into a very traumatic experience for my wife and children. Not only did this happen but the same entrance was allowing multiple fans In with glass bottles from tailgates and not enforcing the clear bag policy. We will never be coming to game at this...
