Last week, I went to your website to make a reservation which has an option to make a reservation but when I selected it, the full phone number was not displayed. Thinking it was just a glitch, I called the Main St in Norman location and spoke to a man. I asked him if I could make a reservation for 10 people for Tues March 4th for a friends 50th birthday celebration. He said yes and took my name and time that we would be arriving. Then on Monday March 3rd I called the main St location again to add 2 more people to the reservation and spoke with another man. Sadly I did not think to get either of these men’s names as I felt my requests were being heard and permitted! During this conversation this man said that “we no longer take reservations” and that when I informed him of a conversation the previous week. He said that since I was promised a reservation that they would honor that and have a table available for us at 6:00pm on the 4th of March. He did say make sure your entire party is there at 6:00 because they would not be seating anyone till the entire party was present. He took my name and verified with me again that I had a reservation for 12 people. When we all arrived at 6:00 on the 4th, the host said I had “no reservation”. You can imagine my disappointment!! I not only called once to make this reservation but TWICE and was promised a table! The host was not very apologetic or willing to make accommodations for us at all! He even started seating other people that came in after in areas that could have accommodated our group at least being close to each other in large booths. After 20 min of the host ignoring us, we left and had to go find another restaurant for 12 people on NO notice at all! Rosa Mezcal ruined our evening and I will never be visiting your locations ever again! I will also be posting on social media and informing all my friends of your negligence and rudeness! With this kind of customer service I don’t imagine you’ll be in business too long anyway! Just this morning I again checked your website which shows that you take reservations!...
Read moreFirst time at Mezcal last night, what a beautiful restaurant. My husband and I went for a late dinner, it was REALLY loud. Which, makes sense, because it was later and the crowd had all been to a Mardi Gras event. I was a bit overstimulated by the noise, BUT, the service was really good. The guacamole was DELICIOUS, so flavorful. They also have a nice list available for mocktails, I got the jalapina and it was very yummy. My husband got the enchiladas and I got the flauntas, he gobbled his right up. My flauntas were good, but maybe because the guacamole and mocktail was so flavorful, I was expecting a tad more flavor. Overall fun vibe, I prob wouldn't have been so overstimulated had we not gone at such a late hour, but definitely a fun place. Also, if you are looking for a cool place to eat for your bday, this would be a great pick. There was a birthday guest in the crowd and it was a fun group celebration with staff participation. I'll be back for sure. The patio is super cute as well, overall cute vibe, just maybe don't go here expecting a quiet dinner. Noise carries, so this isn't the place to go if you are wanting to have a nice meal with nice conversation, you will definitely be yelling haha. Also, if there is something going on downtown, there will prob be a wait, this place is a hot spot right now. But really, overall, fun vibe...
Read moreMe, my sister, my 1 yr old nephew and my mom wanted to go here to support a local business and we were really excited to try! I called to join the waitlist and they told us it would be a 25 minute wait for 3 people and a high chair. So we parked and got to the restaurant after about 15 mins and went up to let them know we were there. I wasn't expected to be seated immediately but they did have a table available so they did seat us. It unfortunately happened to be not even a foot away from the large speaker that they were playing music at insanely high volume. We told them this was not going to work, since we have a baby with us. We were totally fine with waiting for another table not expecting it to take an hour. But then after 2 1/2 minutes of leaving us just standing there, she let us know the next table would be a 50 minute wait if we wanted to sit somewhere else. I'll be honest the music was so loud I wouldn't have even wanted to sit there even without any kids. I totally understand they are busy but I feel it should have been considered that putting a table needing a high chair next to a crazy loud speaker is not a good idea. It seems like this is not a good family place I would take my children! We ended up eating at Sweet Basil just down the road, they were extremely accommodating and kind! Plus, their...
