Bella's Roast Beef — Restaurant in North Andover

Wanna start this review with a disclaimer that yes we did reach out to talk to the establishment. We provided all information, including pictures to illustrate the problem. We were told that the owner would personally contact us back to resolve the situation and we never heard back.

So with all of this understood, let’s go. This was our second visit to Bella‘s roast beef in North Andover. Our first visit a couple of months ago was a mixed bag. This visit not so much.

We ordered a chicken salad and a chicken finger dinner. This came to with tip $48.77 and the food was completely inedible. In fact, my daughter said just a few bites of her chicken dinner made her feel sick to her stomach.

The grilled chicken salad they put scolding hot chicken on top of a mixed green salad immediately wilting it on the ride home as this was takeout and attempting to salvage the chicken from the salad to eat as a sandwich proved fruitless. It was stringy low quality chicken.

I checked my daughter‘s chicken finger dinner. The chicken fingers were paper, thin more better than chicken. It’s pictured here and actually looks better than it did in person quite frankly. The chicken was very stale as if frozen thawed and refrozen smelled bad and tasted horrible.

There is no excuse first of all for serving such horrible quality food at that price and then secondly to completely ignore the complaint as this business has chosen to do.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered a grilled chicken salad for my wife and a roast beef for myself. It was fried chicken when we got back to work to eat. She couldn’t eat it as she’s allergic to the oils used in most places for frying food. We told them that on the phone too. The old woman who answered was extremely rude too. The worst thing was my roast beef with just mayo and cheese that I added to my order 9 minutes before arrival. The bottom bun was SOAKED IN BLOOD. It disintegrated in my hand when I tried to bite into it. My hand was covered in blood. I called and the “manager” told me he put grilled chicken on my salad and that I was wrong even after offering to send him a picture of it. He then told me that he wouldn’t refund the sandwich either way because it was MY FAULT that the bun was soaked. Because it took me 9 minutes to get there and open it. He said it was the middle of the roast beef not the ends so it was extra rare and I should have eaten it faster. Are you kidding dude? You just lost a whole medical building that orders daily from you. Good job. SIDE NOTE: THE JUNIOR BEEF WAS $14! Roast beef and a salad, $40! What a joke. There prices are too high, they close all the time for no reason and have a horrible phone demeanor anyway....

Its sad that misinformed people are so quick to grab their torches and pitchforks and attempt to destroy a business. Someone's livelihood. And personal life. The food and staff at this family owned and operated business is nothing short of spectacular. The owners are well known and well respected. They've been in the food and service industry for many years and would never discriminate against anyone for any reason. The negative reviews are by ignorant and misinformed internet social justice warriors that have never eaten at Bella's, and have nothing better to do that attempt to ruin a business. Thankfully their already established reputation and customers will keep them going! The buffalo chicken pizza is fantastic! And the roast beef! Yum!!! I recommend this place...
