Box Seats — Restaurant in North Attleborough

Met some friends for a late lunch at 2pm. Service and seating was great. We ate outside table had tablecloth on them. When we were seated they gave paper menus. Good idea. The server name Seamus came back and took beverage orders as soon as we all were seated. When they came back to bring beverages they took our lunch order one of the people in our party has a gluten problem. It was very accommodating they had over 70 items on their menu that were gluten free. He ended up ordering a nacho plate from the appetizer menu with pulled pork, one other friend ordered the impossible Burger she got hers with steak fries which also were gluten free another person in my party ordered cheeseburger with regular french fries and pepper jack cheese. I ordered a half-dozen clam cakes and a side salad. I got blue cheese salad dressing on my salad. I also got an order of onion rings from The appetizer menu cuz they were gluten free . As he was taking our orders he was putting them into a tablet he had in his hand which then sent them directly to the kitchen. I thought that was very cool. When the appetizer onion rings came out they look very nice but unfortunately they were not hot. In retrospect they really weren't warm. My friends started to eat them in anyways before I could say anything to the server. In a few minutes a brought out the meal everything looks wonderful. Very refreshing fresh looking. He came back again two or three times with water excetera. After trying my clam cakes I found after the first two cakes that there were no clams in them and if they were overly moist in the center like they weren't fully cooked yet a very crispy on the outside. My salad was not cold or chilled it was a bit on the cool 2 warm side. I spoke with the server who took away the clam cakes the manager came over and apologized. He took it off the menu but I was kind of disappointed because I was really looking forward to them. My girlfriend's steak fries with her impossible burger or excellent they came out scalding hot like fresh from the fryolator not too crispy very soft in the center and not greasy at all. My boyfriend's Burger was excellent he said but his fries were not hot. My friend who are the nacho plate with pulled pork said it was very good. I know that everyone is going through a lot of this time with the virus and stuff. So I'm willing to overlook things looking forward to going back and trying something else as I know I've gone there many times in the past before this and everything has been excellent. We came here today to celebrate St pattys day. Went in excited to try this place out, we had been talking about it for a while. When we arrived there were three empty seats at the bar but the bartender proceeded to tell us there was none. We asked about them and she said they had stepped outside. There was nobody outside and no one showed up for a good 20 minutes. She was saving the seats for her friends. Could have just said that. We ordered the potato skins and the calamari. The calamari came out soggy and slimy. We tried to tell the bartender this and she proceeded to give major attitude when we were not being rude. We had one piece and decided it was not something we wanted. She said she would take it off and then proceeded to tell us she gave us a 6.99 discount. I asked why? And she said it’s what you ordered and so that’s what you get. You should have known it was gluten free. How would I have known this…If the menu did not specify ? She then proceeded to talk to all her bar guest about me and my family. To top it off when we left the restaurant her friends that were seated at the bar told my mother that they hope she gets her two front teeth and a few other slurs and the bartender who apparently is also the manager laughed with them. I don’t recommend this place at all. As a person of color it made me extremely uncomfortable and uneasy. Will not be returning and hope that your staff learn manners and the proper way to treat...

The food is decent and they have a big gluten free selection but the service is TERRIBLE!! I have been 4 times and only had 1 good server.

Examples of service we received here: Sent an entree back because it was disgusting - still charged for it on our bill (I later was reimbursed with a gift card). Dinner for 4 adults took 2 hours from arrival to departure....on a Tuesday night. We all ordered from the 2 for $24 menu and had to remind the server twice that salad came with the meals. We didn't get the salads until after our meals came out. 2 of the 4 of us had to ask for silverware and napkins (napkins never came so we had to share). We waited at least one round of that music bingo between when we finished eating and when we finally saw our server again. Eventually we had to ask for dessert, which came with the meals (at which time we learned it was only a sundae or pudding that was included, everything else was extra). When the dessert finally came out it was wrong.

I WOULDN'T SUGGEST THIS...
