Disclaimer: I do not notify restaurants in advance before my arrival, I do not tell the staff that I am a food reviewer, I do not dress up, and I do not sugarcoat my reviews.
Overall: The elderly staff were lacking, the gentlemen on staff were helpful, the fries were seriously lacking, but the burgers were good and worth trying. This restaurant isn't a place I'd go to sit down and eat due to staff issues, but certainly worth getting a burger to go. I am, however, impressed that management takes time to respond to each review on here.
The Staff: So my first impression was lacking, entering the front door that is directly closest to the sidewalk and on the front of the building. Upon entering, I was lectured by the elderly staff about how the door located on the side (nearly the back) of the building is the "front" door. After speaking with them, being properly seated, I waited for about 8 minutes until I got the attention of a passing staff member and gave him my order. Not only did the elderly women on staff never take my order, they never once returned to my table and never checked on me; it was a much younger gentlemen who emerged from the kitchen to see if I wanted water while I waited for my "to-go" order. I finally received my food a total of 18 minutes of being at this establishment.
The Food: Fries were cold, not drained properly, undercooked, and I didn't really receive many "full size" frize, really just fry fragments that were leftover instead of receiving a fresh batch. This surprised me, especially because of the length of time I waited for this food, I had assumed they would be fresh. Only good thing I can say about them is that they were perfectly salted; not too much, not too little. The burger patty was good sized, had good consistency, held shape pretty well too. The combination of swiss and american cheese with bacon forming an "X" shape across the top was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Lettuce was placed under the tomato slice and burger meat, to hold in juice, which is an excellent strategy, giving a nice assortment of textures and crunch (if the lettuce is fresh). The bread was sweet and soft, but because it's so aerated, even with the lettuce, the bottom of the burger becomes soggy regardless in less than 3 minutes. Nonetheless, the buns were toasted and that was a good move. The burger meat was cooked precisely to the degree in which I had requested and juicy. Lastly, the randomly assorted fried pickles on top were a nice touch, cooked thoroughly, and added a deserving flair to the overall...

Read moreMy travel buddy wanted to visit this chain restaurant type setting for some odd reason. I open the door and proceeded to the bar to ask the bartender where I could find parking nearby she was very polite and accurate and I got a good sense that the place would have warm, glad to see you, service. After finding parking my travel buddy and I entered the place and we're promptly led to a table outside. It took normal for us to get water but I didn't mind. Most of you impatient people however probably would but keep in mind the bartender was bartending and serving tables inside and out. It was a Sunday afternoon at about 4pm and very few tables were occupied in the place. We both ordered drinks me a vodka seltzer, him a draft beer both were promptly served. We then ordered our lunch me a Cobb salad and my buddy ordered the jambalaya. Both came both came in reasonable time. My buddy claimed his rice was too crunchy. I tasted it and agreed the rice was a bit Al dente, however the flavor was delicious and it was a generous portion. My Cobb salad was boring, the chunks of chicken lacked "juiciness" teetering on dryness. The same could be said for the shrimp, however the amount that was given was more than adequate. The rest of the contents of the cob salad included halves of cherry tomatoes, bacon bits and a spring mix blend of lettuce. Sue me, but I thought it could use some romaine, blue cheese crumbles, red onions, some carrots, and oh yeah, some cobb. The bathrooms were immaculate and well stocked. This place to me deserves a second visit although next time we'll go during dinner time when the A...
