Dairy Freez — Restaurant in North Beach

Not gunna lie, the people there weren’t the friendliest but rural Maryland is pretty boring so I feel the ‘tude as I get grumpy out here as well I had my AirPods that I got for Christmas in my ears so I felt a little arrogant ordering. The lady at the front had like purple hair and I thought that was some cool spice for middle of nowhere Maryland. It was a Thursday in winter but it still had a lot of people at 7:30. It was wild, there were like 3 families up in there so I def caught them family vibez. Like that one song from DaBaby. Anywho, the ice cream was not made there FOR SURE I think it was blue bunny but it was still super good. The shakes slapped and they also got some food I guess but idk if you really finna trust that on a weeknight. They cleaned up since I was there last about two years ago. If you find yourself in the middle of nowhere Maryland stop by. When I say this is THE MIDDLE of nowhere I’m talking you hear gunshots all day it’s like Iraq out here... but for ducks. There’s SO MUCH duck hunting in these parts. It was an alright experience overall. I wonder what the rent for this place is, I mean on one hand it’s near the beach on the other, it’s a small shack on the side of the road in the middle of NOWHERE. The 3 children in there were the first children have seen in the entire town in my entire life, not that I’m looking for children or anything. It’s across for an elementary school, I wish I went to elementary school across from an ice cream shop. They close pretty late for the mean age of the town being 87, at about 8 pm. The school across from them has a Nativity scene but it’s missing baby Jesus?????? It was probably a rival school, I don’t understand the kids these days. They’re all in gangs and filming those tikotoks or whatever. Anywho, it’s the day after Christmas and they don’t have any decorations? Talk about no spirit. Gotta blast, my infant is crying in...

My family and I came in on a Saturday afternoon for some ice cream and were the only people there. It took several minutes before the one man working there noticed us. We asked some questions about the ice cream flavors and it seemed evident that he did not know what the flavors actually were. We all ended up getting soft serve ice cream, which was apparently not ready, so he had to literally go to the back, get the cream, pour it into the machine, and wait for the machine to churn the ice cream. We asked how long it would take a few times and he kept repeating “not long,” but wouldn’t tell us how long it would take. To be fair, it really didn’t take long (about 5 minutes), but a concrete answer would have been nice. The ice cream itself was mediocre but the cones were stale. For the past two years I've been eating their CHICKEN cheese steaks. Today I called to order a chicken cheese steak for pick up after a long day at work. The owner answered and proceeded to tell me chicken cheese steaks aren't on the menu so she could not sell me one. Doesn't matter that I've gotten them multiple times from there over the years. She explained that she has the ingredients but since it is not posted on their menu she doesn't want her employees selling them, that they may not taste the exact same or charge me the same each time, ect. Every time I've had one it was amazing and always the same price, such a shame I'll have to hope the owners aren't in so I can order my normal meal from there. Chessie's Deli Subs & Pizza in Huntingtown has chicken cheese steaks as well as the beef, guess I'll go there...
