So coming back from a Germany trip, I was so excited to check out this place. Unfortunately Its such a big disappointment. We ordered two things from them: Schnitzel sliders and pretzel with beer cheese. The schnitzel itself was over cooked and super dry. I understand what they were trying to do for this one, but it needs more care and love and respect to the food. The slaw is fine, but I think if they put sautkraut for the slider it would work better. For the pretzel, the pretzel was ok, not great. They clearly did not use lye to make the pretzel. More importantly, the beer cheese was NOT beer cheese, it was basically warm queso dip. Having had Kentucky Beer Cheese, the original style (going on 80 years old), this was a pale shadow of the real deal.
Overall, I'm so disappointed about...

The teriyaki chicken bowl was simple and tasty (just chicken and rice, they offered to add some peppers). The chicken strips were pretty standard and the fries were really tasty... They were double fried or battered, hot and crispy.
I enjoyed the vibe, with outdoor uncovered, outdoor covered, and indoor seating options available. Gas firepits on most of the tables too, which makes a cozy atmosphere after snowshoeing/skiing in the winter.
Located outside Dru Bru, there's plenty of free parking but does get busy on weekends....

We just did the holiday dinner of Prime Rib and sides of mashed potatoes, stuffing, and baked vegetables (mushrooms and brocolini). I grew up in Sammamish always hoping someday there would be a destination at the Pass so I could drive up the mountain and stay a bit, see the snow (winter), or breath the cool air (summer). These dinner events at Dru Bru are amazing. Matt's Prime from the Squatch Box reminded me I should eat beef more. If you are competent driving in the snow and/or the distance, check out one of these...
