I was really excited to visit Jardin after enjoying their food before. Yesterday, I called around 7 pm to ask what time they would be closing, and the person on the phone said 10:30 pm. I made my way over, and after spending about 20 minutes looking for parking, I finally arrived, starving—only to be told that most of the menu items were unavailable, including all the meat and hummus. The only options left were tzatziki or salad.
I even told the staff member that I had called earlier to confirm their hours and to let them know I was on my way. Why wasn't I informed that there was almost nothing left to make? At that point, I told them they might as well close if they don't have the ingredients to prepare most of their menu. It felt like a complete waste of time—finding parking, heading over, and then leaving hungry.
This lack of communication is very disappointing. If you're going to be open, there should be enough to offer customers. I hope management improves how they communicate with customers about menu...
Read moreI was in an unfamiliar area looking for halal food (as usual). After reading the reviews, their homemade bread sealed the deal for me. When I drove up, I was disappointed they didn’t have free parking. You have to pay a meter. It takes quarters or you can download an app. I put all the quarters I had in the meter figuring I’d them to make change if it ran out. When I asked, they didn’t have any quarters so I ended up downloading the app anyway.
I ordered the hummus and kofta meal. It was delicious. Everything was well seasoned & fresh. The portions weren’t too big or too small. However, I was further disappointed when they brought out Toufayan (commercial) pita instead of the freshly baked bread I was expecting.
On a positive note, the young man who was on duty that day was very polite and accomodating. Shout out to Amir.
He welcomed me to pray in the restaurant as Asr and then Maghrib were in and checked in with me regularly.
I probably won’t return cause I’m not in the area often. If I am, I’d probably give another local halal restaurant a try. If you’re not a bread snob like me though, I’d...
Read moreExceptional Service and Delicious Food! My family and I recently visited this halal Middle Eastern restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and the gentleman who took our order was incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially considering we were a party of 12. He took the time to explain the menu and made fantastic recommendations for our large group. The interior of the restaurant was clean, cozy, and inviting, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. However, the real highlight was the food! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. From the tender chicken and flavorful kofta kabobs to the mouthwatering beef and chicken shawarmas, including the rice, every bite was a delight.
Overall, our experience at this restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. We'll definitely be returning and highly recommend...
