STAY AWAY!!! I recently had a horrendous experience with a take out order. I ordered egg biryani and what I got was that, with pieces of chicken in it. I am a vegetarian who occasionally likes to eat eggs and when I ordered the dish I wasn’t expecting to see meat. My guess, they recycled chicken biryani, added a couple of eggs to it and were selling it as a separate dish. How convenient!!
The worst part? the manager Mr. Kannan had the gall to tell me I should be looking at the menu better while ordering and that, egg biryani was listed as a non-vegetarian item and is made with CHICKEN BROTH!!! What???
Such lies, it was unbelievable!! their menu lists egg biryani in the biryani section right under the vegetable biryani which can easily mislead people and it absolutely does not have chicken broth in the ingredients list.
The management and the cleanliness of the Princeton and North Brunswick locations is terrible and they do not know how to treat their customers. This is not my first experience but I finally found some time to write a review.
The restaurant in Princeton markets itself as upscale but they are far from it. I would...
Read moreI've had my fair share of Indian food, and this stuff is freaking good. It's better than freaking good; it's freaking excellent. The restaurant's decor makes me feel like an Indian prince with all of their weird shaped chairs and circular metal trays. I love it when they bow and introduce the feast in their traditional clothes and line of belly dancers... what? they didn't do that for you?
Anyway, I'd go here just for their parotta because it's out of this world. It reminds me of a pie crust folded finely to create multiple layers of chewy and freshness. Just give me a basket of that with curry or paneer and I'll be all set. I came here for lunch and ordered one of the business set lunches. I highly recommend the South Indian one for the extra spiciness to the juicy chicken drumstick.
To be honest, I'd come here every day if I could, but for now, I will reserve this for special occassions. Maybe I'd be bold enough to take a girl here on a date... like a 4th date. Garlic and curry is not exactly the best combination for a...
Read moreWe drove from New York to have some quality South Indian non veg food. What we had in store was mixed feelings. They had no dine in but that was understandable given the situation. Next we had to order on a tablet which was extremely slow and was taking forever. Solution given to us was to use our mobile device to place an order. We did so. Food came out pretty quickly. Came home and tried the food. Chicken biriyani was good but nothing spectacular. The raitha was not what you would expect. Got a good portion but wasn’t made with red onions or other usual add ons. Next was the kheema parotta which was filled with meat and had egg in it. The product was good but not worth the price tag of $15.45 for one parotta. It was very heavy item yet still not worth paying almost $16 for. Overall tasty food but way too overpriced. Have had similarly tasty food elsewhere for at least half the price. Will not be visiting them again. P.S. please make sure to call them before making plans to see how the restaurant works. They might not answer but...
