I've been coming to this place for years and the food is fantastic. For the most part, I've never had any issues with this place until last weekend when I placed an order for a bacon cheeseburger with "fries" and this is when things began to go south. I ordered the food and paid $9 and some change for the burger. In addition to that, I also bought a cookie which summed up to $13 plus a 20% tip. I waited over 20 minutes for them to prepare my food. Time was passing by. It finally occurred to me to ask if my burger was ready and they said they were bringing it out. I was cool with that too. The biggest issue of mine was the fact that I came home and found out that the fries I ordered weren't in the bag and neither was the copy of my receipt. I called North Brunswick Pizza up and mentioned to the guy who answered the phone that I asked for fries to go with my burger. The guy who answered the phone was unapologetic and curt while speaking to him claiming that I never ordered fries. At this point I began feeling really heated about the situation. To put insult to injury, his response was just "sorry" and nothing more than that. It turns out the cashier didn't hear me say that I ordered fries with my meal and I didn't have the receipt to verify either. In summary, they didn't do anything to redeem the situation or salvage the fact that they may lose a future customer. The service I received that day was anything but decent and it left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. It's probably gonna be a long while til I decide to...
Read moreMy wife has been coming here on lunch from her job for several months now and raving about how good the food is, so tonight we decided to grab some dinner on the way home after picking my daughter up from school. My daughter ordered a slice of mushroom, I got a chicken parm sub, and my wife an order of ziti. Despite being Friday night with the phone ringing off the hook, our food was ready hot and fresh in less than the ten minutes they estimated, which is always a good sign! The pizza slices are big like a boardwalk slice with plenty of toppings, my chicken parm was cooked perfectly, and my wife's ziti was delicious. The only hangup was that when we got home, the heat of the sub sitting on top of it had melted the lid on the takeout container for the ziti into the pasta itself. However, when I called to talk to them about it, my call was answered quickly and they responded with an apology and offered to make a new ziti to replace the one with the plastic lid melted in. No fussing, no giving me a hard time, just, "Oh, I'm sorry about that, we'll make you a new one." This is how customer service ought to be! These guys know how to do right by their customers. I brought the old ziti back and in the five minutes it took to get there from my house, they had a fresh (unmelted!) ziti ready to go. Great place, great food, great service. I highly recommend it. Thanks...
Read moreThe pros:
Pizza: 4 out of 5 stars. They make a good (not great, but very good) pizza. Crispy crust, with a good, balanced, tangy (but not too oily) sauce. Toppings generously applied, and fresh.
Garlic knots: 4 out of 5 stars: good, and well complemented by the sauce.
Cheesesteak: 3 out of 5 stars: fresh, and tasty, but skimpy.
Chicken fingers: 2 out of 5 stars (processed/frozen), but served with a good honey mustard sauce
Salads: Fresh, and tasty.
Service is friendly and quick.
The cons:
Good and fast to eat in. Delivery is another story, 3 out of 5 times they have forgotten something and/or gotten the order wrong, so if you get delivery, check it when they deliver. Even then, the response has been "we will make a note and bring it the next time you order" ... nice, but not helpful at that time.
Overall, will stop and pick up pizza if in the area, but likely not a good choice...
