We frequently order their Ghee roast mutton biryani which tastes really good but our last experience was horrible. On Dec 31st night we ordered a takeout of family pack goat biryani along with 2 appetizers and we were totally disappointed with the family pack tray size and the quantity they gave. I don’t know if it’s because of the rush they have during holiday season but they reduced the tray size to the smallest size which hardly fed 2 people and the biryani portion was very less plus the taste was not good that night. They charge $48.99 for family pack but it is not worth this time for the quantity they gave. It would have been better if we ordered 4 single biryani’s for the same price instead of family pack. Even the karivepaku kodi vepudu quantity was only half full in the to-go box. We recommended this place to many of our friends thinking they are maintaining the standards but from our recent experience we now are hesitant to order again from this place. Hoping the management will address the issue.

Got to know about this place very recently and heard good reviews about their mandi. Tried both Goat and chicken mandi and I must say their goat mandi was the best. Half and full portions are available so we ordered one half goat and one full chicken which was more than enough for 5 people. If you’re a mutton lover I’d suggest you to try their goat mandi, both the mandis are same just that the meat changes. For chicken they have provided a whole chicken tandoori over the rice which was ok. Decent dine inn with Good service. So, one half goat mandi and one full chicken mandi costed us $154. Felt it was bit expensive, not sure if this’s the regular price or just here as this was my first time having mandi here in USA.

First timer … we had their food in a house warming party and wanted to try take home food. Ordered pepper 🐓 and chicken roast . Both were spicy and well made . Pepper was amazing , but make sure you order ur spice level. If U say spicy , it is really spicyyyyy. Not like other restaurants. Chicken roast was a little less spicy but well made. .. we also ordered chilli corn 🌽.. I didn’t like that much. Corn was fried well but the sauce was like tomato ketchup . Sweet and not at all good. I would have given a 5 star if the corn was good. I was more expecting South Indian style but this wasn’t good at all. Quick service and very good customer support . Good luck guys ..

Came here with my siblings for dine-in dinner, my little sister was recommended to come here. We came here blind, not looking up any dish until we got the menu. Interior is empty yet bare minimum & simple. Slight ambience by the Indian music videos on the tv, welcomed by the delicious aroma of the spices being cooked up. Plenty of tables, (I don’t think there’s a bathroom) but there is a sink to wash your hands. The menu displays a lot of vegetarian options, and non-veg options. It does have your standard Indian food that mainstream people go for, but is also wonderful if you’re adventurous for not-recognizable Indian dishes. (I believe they’re southern Indian based (specifically Punjabi(ian?)). We were given bottled water, mats (to place our plates & eating cutlery on, plates & eating cutlery. First welcomed by Onion Rava Dosa, delicious, the dosa was beautiful on the inside, soft yet crispy. Lightly flavorful, accompanied with three tiny bowls of sauces/gravy. I especially love the red one, cold, spicy & refreshing. White one was cold yet refreshing as well. And regular one was mild & delicious. Absolutely love kerivepaku gobi, super aromatic & flavorful, strong tasting but so delicious. So delightful, soft yet has a bit of a surprising crunch. Onion samosas were simple & nice. Onion Pakoda were delicious, on the saltier seasoning side so be careful of your sodium intake, however, delightful soft crunchy fritters. I was going to order all of the naans but decided to try out chili garlic naan first. Super delicious, spicy & garlic HITS. I love it, it went well especially with Kaju Koyo curry, it disperse the flavor of the curry & helps it so you don’t feel tired or sick of the sweetness from the curry. The curry was mild, creamy, savory & sweet, great with rice & naan. Great contrast to the Gongura Kodi, I really loved this, strong flavorings, spiced up, loved the leafy vegetables & boneless chicken pieces. Super delicious with naan & especially on rice. Lastly, our masala tea, it is bitter tasting without the packs of sugar, two packs of sugar will help balance the bitterness, the masala was mild/tamed. They do offer some regular soda beverages from their cooler fridge as well.

I want to say, thank you for the wonderful & delicious food. Also thank you to the person who served us, I was shocked, happy & super impressed at how he was able to remember my order, & my sibling’s orders without writing anything down. I also didn’t see a tipping option, I asked & they said that’s okay, not needed. I gave a five dollar bill anyway for the first time visit. They must pay their employees really well & the pricing of the food justifies if I don’t have to tip.

Overall experience, 10/10, would definitely...

Starting with the appetizers, the chicken 65 was a standout dish, with its crispy exterior and perfectly spiced meat. The chilly goat roast was also delicious, with tender pieces of meat coated in a flavorful blend of spices. The chicken pepper fry was another fantastic appetizer, with juicy pieces of chicken stir-fried with onions, peppers, and spices.

Moving on to the main course dishes, the chicken roast was juicy and flavorful, with the perfect blend of spices. The Guntur mamsam roast was another standout dish, with tender pieces of goat meat cooked in a spicy and flavorful sauce. The chilly chicken was a great accompaniment to the biryanis, with its sweet and spicy flavors. The chicken pakoda was crispy and delicious, and the punugulu was a great vegetarian option, with its soft and fluffy texture.

The mirchi bajji and onion samosa were great snacks, with the perfect balance of spices. The chicken curry, shrimp curry, and goat curry were all fantastic, with a nice blend of spices that made each dish unique. The kadai paneer and paneer tikka masala were both creamy and flavorful, and the Kashmiri methi chaman was a great vegetarian option, with the perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors.

Lastly, the biryanis were all fantastic, with each one having a unique flavor profile. The paneer biryani was delicious, with soft and flavorful pieces of paneer. The veg pulav was light and flavorful, and the dilkush biryani was a great combination of aromatic spices and flavorful vegetables. The goat roast biryani and chicken biryani were both fantastic, with perfectly cooked meat and fluffy, aromatic rice.

Overall, the Southern Spice restaurant had a fantastic selection of dishes that were all bursting with flavor. The chefs clearly put a lot of care and attention into each dish, and it showed in the taste and presentation. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic...

If you're in the mood for authentic South Indian cuisine, look no further than the Unlimited Dosa Night at Southern Spuce As a lover of dosas, I was excited to try out this restaurant's special event, and I can confidently say that I was not disappointed.

The restaurant itself has a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff who are more than happy to help you navigate the menu. But on Unlimited Dosa Night, the menu is straightforward – all-you-can-eat dosas of various types, both savory and sweet.

The dosas were served hot and crispy, with a variety of delicious fillings and chutneys to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the mysore masala filling, which was perfectly spiced and flavorful. The coconut chutney and sambar were also delicious, and complemented the dosas perfectly.

One thing I appreciated about the restaurant was that they weren't stingy with the dosas – they kept them coming until we were absolutely stuffed. And despite the unlimited nature of the event, the quality of the dosas remained consistent...
