Stuffed Pastry — Restaurant in North Canton

We were so excited to find a pastry bakery in the North Canton area, on a long hunt for a good cinnamon roll! Service was very friendly and helpful, but the cinnamon roll was a crushing disappointment. I need to preface by saying that when we called to note this, they said they were trying new recipes for the cinnamon roll, and offered to give us replacement pastries. So they very well may have this issue resolved. But, the cinnamon rolls today were just not even edible. The dough was very dense and underdone, pale and stodgy and flavorless; the filling was over-salty, and the frosting tasted sour. We also got a chocolate truffle, and that was okay, but basically just the snack called “puppy chow” (chex mix and peanut butter) dipped in chocolate. Definitely not worth the $7 for the cinnamon roll and $3 for the truffle. We will say, the place was so cute and everyone was so friendly, so I wouldn’t write them off as a good bakery. Just not what we were expecting. It’s worth noting that this is more of a cake and cupcake bakery than a pastry/patisserie— no croissants or flaky dough to be found, but some other tasty-looking things like cannoli. This is a disappointing review to post. My fiancé and I are currently planning our wedding. We were excited to taste and possibly use this bakery. We paid $25 and had a tasting that was really good. We were told we would get a quote that evening or the following day. We didn’t hear anything for over a week. My fiancé followed up with an email and still heard nothing. After a second follow up email, we were told we would get the quote that weekend. That was two and a half weeks ago and we still did not receive anything. Most people know that planning a wedding is already stressful, so not having dependable vendors is a constant worry. I cannot recommend Stuffed Pastry enough! What a wonderful business to work with. I called and asked if they could make a gender reveal cake for my husband and I. From the very beginning, they were so kind and thoughtful and genuinely excited to be a part of our special surprise. I gave them creative liberties and our cake was so beautiful. They had it finished the next day. Best of all the cake was delicious!! They definitely made us feel so special. We will be lifetime customers of theirs for any dessert we need!...
