Shale Craft Coffee — Restaurant in North Canton

I would leave 2.5 stars as an overall rating for my experience if I could, but Google won't let me, so I will just leave it at two. My partner and I went here today because our normal coffee spot is closed on Sundays. We are both LGBTQ+, but my partner more visibly so. The barista who rung us out kept giving him (my partner) weird/nasty looks. This, along with the atmosphere (country music/decor), made us feel a bit uncomfortable there. Not that the decor and music were bad alone, but with the looks that we were being shot, I wouldn't call this place necessarily "LGBTQ+" friendly. Maybe it was just a bad day that we caught them, but it was really just uncomfortable. If you are LGBTQ+, I personally would not recommend. The coffee and tea isn't bad, and neither is the food, but I would rather go elsewhere and be treated with less of a bias and have better food/drinks than go back here :/

EDIT I could have said a lot worse. This business is obviously extremely immature in responses to people who leave reviews. In hindsight, I would have said that the coffee was stale, the tea was something I could have made at home, and the pastries were about as good as something you could make from a box. Prices are cheap (rightfully so) for what you’re getting. Being unnecessarily rude just solidified my initial thought...

Beautiful coffee shop, excellent customer service. They great everyone who comes in. I like that they serve you on real plates with real silverware. It's pricey but very good. We got 2 flights and of course what drew us there but the Little Chunk of Goodness Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls. (*Note they had 12 left and I bought 7 of them. Hint hint!) We also tried the pumpkin snickerdoodles and the pumpkin cheesecake. The butterscotch latte was very good. The coconut. I could smell the coconut but couldn't taste it. The Pumpkin Spice was a pass on the hot and the cold version. They came across a little bitter. The butterscotch latte was very good. But the all around winner was the Pumpkin Brulee it was a success hot and cold. My daughter got all cold and also gave high marks to the Pumpkin Pie OH My which only comes cold brew. The temp of the coffee wasn't hot enough it was barely above room temp. I like my hot coffee hot. Otherwise service was great . They ensured every customer felt welcome. What a fantastic spot! I had never been to Shale Craft Coffee and was happy to see a small parking lot. Easy to pull in and out of and there is also a drive-thru!

I went inside and the space is wonderful, it makes me wish I lived closer so I could work from the shop! The two girls working behind the corner were super friendly and great at what they did. They, despite being busy, delivered fantastic service. And coffee!

I was having a hard time deciding what flavor to get and the girl that took my order made me feel so reassured, it's really the little things that make an experience at a new place memorable

I ordered a large cold brew with oat milk, an extra shot of espresso, and sugar-free brown sugar cinnamon syrup and it was awesome! Great prices and I will definitely be back many times...
