Fire Bowl — Restaurant in North Carolina

I never treat myself to ordering delivery so I was so excited... I called Fire Bowl at 5:21 and ordered: 2 large VEGETABLE lo mein (enough for both kids and husband) I said it more than once on the phone. cream cheese wontons (for me) 3 veggie spring rolls (for me) orange chicken (for my husband) I told the girl on the phone I was vegetarian and asked when I was inquiring about the spring rolls... that they were infact vegetarian and she assured me that yes they were.

Fast forward to 6:20 when I was delivered HOUSE SPECIAL lo mein instead of VEGETABLE lo mein which after looking at the menu it's not even listed on what is in the house special. But there were shrimp, chicken and pork in the lo mein according to my husband when he looked at it.

6:23 I called and told them that they accidentally brought me house lo mein. I've worked in a restaurant and understand things happen and mistakes are made... no big deal. Instead of apologizing and saying can we bring you out vegetable lo mein no problem.... the owner and the girl who works the phones YELLED at me and told me that is what I ordered. Rest assured I DEFINITELY would have NEVER ordered HOUSE lo mein with 3 different meats in it!

I had to feed my kids my food because they were starving and go to bed at 7. So there went my spring rolls and cream cheese wontons. So here I am at 7:34... still haven't had anything to eat. I couldn't believe they YELLED at me and told me basically that I was a liar. They even asked for the food back... I could give the meat lo mein to my husband since he is the only meat eater.

They could have said, since you gave your food to your kids let us also bring that to you so you can actually eat what you ordered for yourself.

So disappointed in how they talked to me and how...

The food is amazing but the customer service is the worst I've ever seen. After ordering delivery and waiting for over an hour (which wasn't even a big deal), I got my food to find they messed up my order. I called and let them know they gave me the wrong meal. The manager then tried to argue and say that what I got was in fact what I ordered. He then spoke to the person who took my order and told me the delivery driver would be back to EXCHANGE the food. Meanwhile, I had already eaten some of the rice from the combo dinner. The delivery driver comes and tells me he needs the food back in order to give me the food I actually ordered. I told him I had eaten some rice so he has to call his manager to make sure this was okay! Apparently his manager told him it wasn't okay so he gives me the food and tells me they said, "next time don't eat the food."

No worries, Fire Bowl... there won't be...

I normally don't write a review unless it's all positive feedback, I'm making an exception in this case. I've ordered a good bit from this place, the food is decent, I'll give them that. The last two times I ordered I was underwhelmed to say the least. They brought me wrong food and Guy on phone had audacity to argue about what I ordered? (I always order the same thing.) He then proceeded to tell me he couldn't resend food (never even asked him to do that) it was too busy. So there's that. Early this evening I ordered, said it would be 45mins (they're 1.8 miles from me). The guy shows up 30mins late and makes up excuses as to why he's late, never once apologized. I left a good tip because that's just how I am. I will never order from this...
