The portions were good. The place was clean. The cashier was nice. Everything was fresh, hot or cold as it should be. The food was served quickly. The prices were in line with other restaurants in the area. The falafel should be labeled differently, maybe Greek falafel? It is not light and fluffy soaked chickpeas. It is more like fried hummus balls with a little onion and parsley and tasted greasy. If you are strict vegan, it is fried in same oil as chicken, which they do tell you if you ask. The tomato was fresh and the pita was thick, fluffy and warm. There was a good amount of hummus on the falafel pita. Their online menu mentions you can get tzatziki (regular or vegan on it, but they do not have vegan tzatziki. The dolmas did taste homemade. You get a side of 4 for $3.99. The gyro meat was ok. The gyro platter was half lettuce, tomato salad, dressed well with dry feta crumbles and 4 strips of meat, a few fries which were hot and crispy, and pita bread. The metal tables and chairs made it even colder inside and weren't really comfortable. The Greek music was nice, not too loud. My husband, who is Greek, said hello in Greek to the owner. He said it back, but never came out to see how our food was, so I would say not extremely friendly, compared to other Greek restaurants we have been to. They were not overly busy. We ate at...
Read moreHave been here a few times now; both dine in and take out, this place is amazing! As a Mediterranean man myself, i can say I’ve tried different menu items each time and nothing has disappointed us! The spanakopita, grape leaves, gyro bowl, gyro, lamb chops (absolute favorite and a must try), meat platters, souvlaki, athenian fries, and more has all been great! And I can’t forget the spicy feta sauce! If you love Mediterranean or Greek food, this place is a must try! The food is fresh, clean, and well seasoned and prepared. Portions are great, you won’t leave hungry and a lot of times you’ll have left overs. It’s good to feel full and good but not feel bloated or bogged down like a lot of places nowadays, the food feels nutritious and healthy (because it is!). The prices are fair, we never feel cheated and like our dollar really is valued here esp in this day, for two to get quite a bit of food, appetizers, sides, entrees we typically spend $35-$50. But you can easily spend $15 for yourself and eat like a king. Forget chipotle, get a gyro bowl from here it’s cheaper, local people, bigger portions and better food in general. Place is very clean and the staff is friendly. You can tell they have pride and passion that goes into the food and it’s appreciated. Keep up...
Read moreThis place has always been a staple for me when I’m in town. I’m Greek and the souvlaki platter has always been delicious. I get the domathes as well. This time, it wasn’t so good. The tzatziki didn’t even have cucumber in it. It was literally yogurt with way too much garlic. Like wayyyyy too much garlic. The salad use to have nicely cut tomatoes and cucumbers with a great dressing. The tomatoes and cucumbers were cut massively and the dressing was bland. The dolmathes always came in olive oil and were standard meatless dolmathes… this time, they were covered in a bunch of diced herbs. I love fresh herbs, when it makes sense. Dumping a handful of them on some dolmathes, doesn’t make sense. I love this place though! Hoping it was just an off day and they didn’t permanently make these changes. About to go swish my mouth with some mouth wash for the third time to try and get rid of the garlic taste. Please for the love of all Greeks… go back to the...
