We were greeted by a friendly staff, and the waiter immediately took our drink and appetizer order. The Calamari appetizer was delicious because the calamari was tender, and had a light and crispy exterior. The Pepperoncini Aioli was deliciously addictive, and added an additional layer of flavor to the calamari. After this we were hoping for an amazing meal, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The Fried Shrimp, although cooked to perfection, had no flavor whatsoever, and it arrived at the table lukewarm at best. The French Fries were also cooked to perfection, but were lukewarm as well. The Blackened Scallops were also cooked to perfection, but they were not hot. It was as if they were sitting on the table for quite some time before they arrived at the table. Also, there was barely any blackening seasoning on it. The Broccoli was delicious, but sadly arrived at the table lukewarm as well. The Cole Slaw was very creamy and flavorful, but unsure about the addition of Craisins. We are not fans of sweetness added to our Cole Slaw. Finally, the Fried Chicken dinner was good. The crispy exterior was a hit, but some pieces of chicken lacked any meat on the bones. We wish the meals had been hotter and seasoned more.

Although the waitstaff and resturant itself is nice, the food was completely bland and a waste of money. None of the 4 people enjoyed any of their food. The crab dip was mainly cheese with a crab flavor. It's served with a huge pretzle but the flavor of the pretzle tasted almost smoky and was off putting with the cheese dip. The hushpuppies were average and small, not worth the price. The burger was overcooked and tasteless. The pork bbq sandwich didn't have any bbq and was served with a chili sauce on the side, that's not what we ordered and was completely disappointed. As for the side of french fries these could have been good but instead they have some sort of sour cream and onion type flavoring on it. The steamed shrimp was bland, left in the shell with a seasoning thrown on the shell so there isn't any on the shrimp itself. The butter served with it was unsalted. The Captian's platter was bland. The fish was overcooked, bland, with the taste and texture of breast meat chicken. The scallops were the only things that tasted normal and the shrimp was bland as well. The scallops and shrimp were served in some sort of water. Don't recommend this place in any shape or form. Wasted way too much money here.

We were passing through the area and decided this was would be a good spot for breakfast- boy was I not dissapointed. Our group ended up ordering French Toast, Huevos Rancheros, Frisco Morning Flyer, and TWO orders of the Mexican Sopes because they were so good! Everything was overall fantastic, but I want to especially commend the breakfast potatoes in the Morning Flyer. The flavor made these especially stand out to me, and these potatoes are probably the best that I've ever had. Props to you guys! Additionally, I'm not usually the biggest fan of eating sweet things during breakfast, but when I had a taste of the French Toast, I was completely blown away. The combination of the beautifully cooked moist and golden-brown toast, with the sweet fruits and tart nuts made this dish to die for! The food ended up being so good that I ended up getting a shirt to remember this place! The portions are excellent, the prices are reasonable, and our waitress was super sweet and attentive. I'm really bummed that I'm not a local, because I'd definitely be here a lot. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone, and I must mention that the morning view from the back-window into the sound is absolutely gorgeous.

We arrived at this restaurant and received great kind service from the person who took our order. However, the food was not very good overall. Although are wings and crab sandwich were good, the other things were not so much. I personally ordered fried oysters, where the oysters were great but the bread was soggy and there were some sharp pieces of shell in them. The fries were soggy and too salty. My brother’s fish sandwich was falling apart. The worst was my sister’s oyster stew, which was curdled, bland, and watery. The main issue was when we politely brought up our thoughts on the oyster stew to our food server, who was different from the gentleman who took our order, he shrugged it off. Then he came back and defensively told us that everything was fresh and that he would show us the receipts to prove it. It’s just not the reaction that a server should give when valid complaints are calmly presented.

The good sir who took our order heard our thoughts on his colleague’s reaction and was kind to us. He promptly removed the oyster stew from our total bill. Overall, the food was not very good and the reaction from one of the servers was uncalled for, so we may not return to this place again. However, I did not wish to place a completely negative review without pointing out some positives.

My recommendation is to take your friends and family either to the Pamlico Deli or Tavern on 12 for the safest greatest bet on restaurants in...

TLDR: Not worth the money. Go somewhere else. I've eaten at enough seafood places to know this place is not worth the money. Please understand if I'm spending over $120 on food plus forced to pay another $22 in tips, the least I would expect the food to be is tasty. It was not. I read another reviewer gave a 5 star rating and showed the palmico shrimp and it looked good! I ordered the same thing and it looked nothing like the pictures. My wife got the Captain's platter and the fish was over cooked. The manager said the fish was "fresh" but we couldn't tell because it was cooked well over well done. You know the food was bad when the kids didn't want to eat the noodles or the chicken wings. This place has to be the worst money I have EVER spent on sea food. I live inland and the food and experience is far superior for the price. I get this place is by the sea so they can charge more and that's cool. But this place doesn't deserve a 4.6 star rating at the time of writing this review. It may deserve a 2.7 stars total. The service was pretty ok. The people are nice. The food wasn't worth the price. Go up the street a couple of minutes or a couple miles and pick a different place. Sorry no photos bc it's not worth any more of my time. I'm glad I never have to come back to this...

We attempted to eat here one night during peak season (July). There were a ton of empty tables when we walked in. The owner/manager told me as soon as I walked in the door that they would not seat us because they “needed to feed the people that were already there.” I kindly asked if we could sit at the bar area (which was nearly completely empty) and just watch tv while we waited. The man told me that he would “make a deal with me”- he would seat us but that we couldn’t order until they took care of the other tables. I said that was fine- we don’t expect to get served before people who are already there. He then turned to the hostess and told her to seat us and then said to all of the staff (many of whom were just sitting/standing around) “to not give us anything.” I get it that these restaurants down here can get overwhelmed during peak season, but I have never been so disrespected as a paying customer at a restaurant before. It’s no wonder half the tables were empty. If they can’t handle and plan for managing a half-full restaurant during their prime money-making season without treating their potential customers like trash, they don’t deserve to get the business. I can’t rate the food since I didn’t get to try it, but the service alone justifies a...
