If you read the reviews it all makes sense, it will also explain why I'm making this post today. So for a few weeks now I come to this location on Tuesdays with my 2 year old, mainly because of how the Family schedule is working and it allows him and I to have a little time by ourselves. For 3 weeks now the playground has been closed, okay no big deal my kid likes the playground and that's why we come to this particular one. As far as I can remember on each occasion that we've been here, I've either had a problem or witnessed a problem in the restaurant and have seen poor response and attitude from the manager. But today's experience put it over the top. The McDonald's app was not working all day and apparently is a known issue to the restaurant and other McDonald's franchises (which I found out later) none the less I had an email which allowed me to receive one free medium fry with any purchase. Okay great my boy loves the fries and the nuggets. I place an order for myself the nuggets and fries and go to scan the barcode, the computer at the restaurant is also malfunctioning. Possibly a related error to what's going on with the app I don't know. The computer is asking the cashier for a manager override when the manager comes over you would have thought that I was asking for the entire menu to be complementary. The manager made it extremely difficult on me asking me to check my phone retry the app login several times made everything way harder than it should be for one free medium fry. I repeatedly told her please ma'am I think we're making this way more difficult than it has to be can't we just do the override and let's get on with the day. By this time there was a long line behind me making the situation even more tense and making me even more uncomfortable. I asked again for the overide, but she refused throw her hands up in the air and walking away. So I walked out called the parent company explain them what happened told him what a big Fiasco went down over medium fries which I clearly had an electronic coupon for. Like other people already stated the restaurant is just not run properly the local management is poor and I have the sense of elitism and entitlement on their part and an unwillingness to just listen to the customer and make our experience a little bit better needles to say I left and I'm not loving it. Would it of been so bad to say something like I am so sorry that you are having trouble with the coupon, here let me take care of that for you. The outcome would of been entirely different. Atleast the franchise owner's company was sympathetic and listened but I don't think I will return, at least not while that manager is there. So to make a long story short I took my boy to Burger King. well we had a much better experience and the cashier even showed me how to get the same order for $2 less so I could save a little money. what a completely opposite experience with...
Read moreI usually have a bad experience at this location. But it's near my house so I still tend to go there for convenience. However, I was surprised this morning with a better experience. There was a crew member outside washing the sidewalk who was very kind and I was acknowledged by what appeared to be a DM in a very polite way, and she made sure that I had been taken care of. That may not seem like a big deal, but considering I usually just get attitude from this McDonald it was very refreshing. I will say, however, that the manager inside and crew inside did not at any point acknowledge that I was even there, an when the manager (I assume she was, she had a green shirt on that was different from the rest) gave me the order she still had a nasty attitude. But they always do here. This one used to be better than the one on River Hwy, but not lately. I'm just happy to see upper management with great customer service, hopefully that will roll down to the store level. I will still avoid this location at night though bc it’s always loud cussing and poor customer service from the younger employees and non existent night managers.
Maybe the wonderful attitude of the lady who I assume was the DM who had just walked into the store will rub off on the rest. She was wonderful!
Edited to say there are a couple ladies who typically work the drive thru first window in the mornings who...
Read moreWhile I can appreciate a restaurant being busy on Christmas Eve, I was put off by them telling our group to use the kiosk because they wouldn’t take our order at the register. The McDonald’s employee came off snarky the way he kept saying it (and the older members of my group are both hard of hearing and were trying to read the menu). He said it three times and made it clear that we were an inconvenience. I’ve been annoyed at work, but I also know that you can’t show that because without customers, you don’t have a job. The thing is that we had some older folks in our group and they just aren’t comfortable with the kiosk technology. Plus, it doesn’t allow for paying cash. Also, the menu doesn’t translate. Everyone knew what number combo they wanted, but the kiosk menu isn’t arranged that way. In fact, there are no combo numbers. Finally, they lost some of our food and it didn’t make it to the table with our order. Since a computer was involved in the process, you’d think the order would be right, but we still had to follow up to ensure that we got what we paid for. It just wasn’t a great experience, even for a fast food place. Employees may need to be trained how to deal with folks from different generations and folks with disabilities. I probably will not visit this location again because of the poor...
