Mt View Bar Bq — Restaurant in North Carolina

I ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning. The food was good but the service I received was the worst service from a young waitress I’ve seen in a very long time. She came to take my order without bringing a menu. I asked for one and saw their breakfast special which I ordered. It included coffee. She brought my meal but no coffee saying a fresh pot was brewing. (But the booth beside me with 4 people who arrived after me all had their coffee brought by her promptly) I had to flag her down and asked for something to eat with. She brought me a fork. A little later, I asked her for a spoon to make eating the grits easier and she brought a spoon. A very large tablespoon. She told me they were still waiting on the coffee. So I asked her if I could have orange juice INSTEAD of coffee. She asked me twice if I still wanted coffee. She brought me a HUGE cup of OJ. I told her she needed to lose her attitude and she said she didn’t have an attitude. A knife would have been nice to have to get the jelly out of their packets. But by the end of my meal, I decided to use my fork and make the best of it. To her credit, at the register she knocked $2 off the meal but I don’t know why because she didn’t say a word to me other than “do you want a receipt?” I asked her for the owner who came a listened to me and he said he’d talk to her. I’m looking for good barbecue spots to stop and try on a trip and one has to look at the website for this establishment to appreciate the enthusiasm they have for the operation. Now most successful barbecue restaurants have a menu on line that will give you an opportunity to check out what kind of specialties they might offer. The folks here are very sneaky and won’t be so obvious. Nope, the use the moniker of being your local greasy spoon but don’t spell it correctly. Haha how chaotic. Well you know what I’m thinking about when considering all of the traditional, similar barbecue eating locations that are competing with this one…yeah, I bet you are too. I’m sticking my head in to see if it is possible for it to fulfill my expectations. The place seems to have a menu posted on a subsequent website that shows mostly breakfast items so has this place been incorrectly categorized and has nothing to do with Barbecue? Yet I do observe it is indeed “Bar Bq” so they are perhaps illiterate, or a bar? Without a menu, I don’t know why they are paying for that website. And I noticed in Google reviews, none of the “dishes do you recommend” including...

If you live in the local area and haven't been here, why? This place is phenomenal on so many levels, seriously. The food is always on point and the portions are not what you see at those fancy little restaurants, which there is nothing wrong with but if you are hungry or just have a massive cheat day ahead, this place, go here now, don't look anywhere else, this is it! Drive if you are far away, you need the road trip with all the craziness on tv, turn it off and get in your car now, go here. From the amazing eats to the awesome staff, this fine country diner will make you feel like grandma just made your favorite dish and it's not even your birthday, go on enjoy your life and the joy this place...
