Friend and I stopped by here hoping for some good bbq and we came in with high hopes because of the reviews, but were very quickly disappointed. Their “bbq” sauces that they have at the table were all super thin and runny, one tasted like Italian dressing, one tasted like a sweet/spicer vinegar sauce, and the third tasted almost exactly like ketchup and had there not been a ketchup bottle next to it I would have assumed it was. Sauces aside the food was nothing great either both my food, the brisket, and my friends food, the chopped bbq pork, were very bland, didn’t have any of that smoky taste that you traditionally get in bbq. On top of that the brisket I was had was half fat, and the bottom slice of brisket wasn’t even cooked throughly, you could visually see that it wasn’t cooked well through which caused it to be extremely chewy. The hush puppies had no real flavor beside the oil from it being fried. The sweet potato I had was smothered in brown sugar, which depending on the person could be a good thing. The Mac and cheese was the only redeeming thing on my plate. The service, however, was good, but the food was bad enough for me to rate this any higher. I used to love this place. Not tonight! We went in and sat down got greeted. Got our drinks. She took our order everything was going fine. Well when she brought our food we had no silverware. Had to wait at least 5 minutes for that. Then our food was dry and where was our server Ale no where to be found. Our drinks never got refilled and we walked away without eating our food. Got our bill which she brought promptly. When we got to the counter we told them the experience and they did nothing. I called shortly after and all the Manager if you want to call her that Tasha said was I'm sorry. I was trying to voice my frustration and concern but she just kept saying sorry then the phone clicked off. The most horrible experience I have ever had and we will not return for a $50 meal for us not to even eat. I would rather wait hours on another BBQ place than return here. I am very disappointed and when I find out how and who to contact I will be getting ahold of a general manager or owner at this point. 1st time at this location. Ordered at the take out window, the little girl kept trying to finish my sentences. Ordered a brisket plate with fries and slaw. Ordered a 2nd brisket plate with baked beans and marinated slaw. A lemonade with LITE ice. Had to pull ahead and wait for my order. Got the lemonade, cup is full of ice and barely any lemonade. The young girl brings my order out, 1 plate of the brisket with baked beans and red slaw, not marinated slaw. Then goes back in and comes back, she forgot to charge for the 2nd plate. Finally brings it out. Get home, the brisket doesn't have much of any taste to it, very bland. Barely had any sauce and had a lot of fat. Also order a half pound of pulled pork, got 1 little container of sauce, thank God I had a bottle of bbq sauce at home. I dunno if there will be a 2nd visit. Hate the one in Viewmont had to close.
