So glad that we stopped here for dinner on the way home from Charleston!! We could smell the wood-fired oven from outside and knew that we were in the right place. As you walk in, you see the beautiful oven with the wood stacked below it in a little cubby. The service was quick and very helpful, because I was wavering between the K-salad and the penne primavera, and the server suggested the pasta with blackened shrimp. I went with that suggestion minus the shrimp and I wasn’t disappointed! I loved the artichokes, pine nuts, and zucchini that were in the penne with the most delicious pesto sauce! We ordered plain spaghetti with butter for my daughter and she ate the whole dish! She was still hungry, so we ordered her a simple scoop of vanilla ice cream in a bowl and she ate all of that, too. My boyfriend ordered himself a 10” pepperoni pizza and he devoured it with glee, it was so good! I went to take a close up picture of the oven and ran into the owner, who was super nice and came over to ask us what we thought about our dinner. We had a nice conversation before we paid the very reasonable bill. We will definitely return here the next time we’re traveling through the area!

Updated- we gave it another chance and it did not disappoint. Far from it, we enjoyed a delicious meal, impeccable service. You should try it out! ——— We thought we had found “our place.” Alexis is the best thing about this place. But if she is not serving you, good luck! We brought our son to share our favorite new place with him. 20 minutes after being seated, the waiter could finally be bothered to take our order. Every entree was served wrong. Undercooked salmon and overcooked beef. (See photo of “medium rare filet) We chalked it up to a bad night and gave it another shot tonight. For our anniversary. Bartender was eager to clear our check as she went to cover a station on the floor. I can deal with that and appreciated that she made me another cocktail before she left. Her replacement got extra sauce for my order - but it was not the sauce advertised with the dish. Chicken Penne Pasta - had all of 4 mushroom slices; dry grilled chicken and it looked the pasta was tossed in the sauce and patted dry. She brought me Alfredo. Tasteless. I think I took 3 bites. We are done. We will not be back. Special thanks for ruining our night.

We came to dine yesterday and as always, fantastic! Always consistent here. The kitchen is always on point. Service is appreciated as well. Thank you! This was our first time here. We tried a few times but short staffed I assume. We tried again yesterday and ordered takeout. We absolutely loved it! Thank you Jessica for your sweet smile ( in a mask but saw it in her eyes) and kindness and the bartender. Service was spot on. The food was incredible I had the Kstone salad 🤗 and we had the mussels and broiled point oysters. Great job you guys. We live across the street and will be back! We went back again for takeout and had Emily take care of us. Such was sweet girl. We had the Greek Salad and Burrata Bruschetta. Delicious! The restaurant is so clean and organized.

We'll probably never go back here. We were a party of nine for lunch on a Monday. The service was slow but that was okay because we were all enjoying ourselves. The main problem was with two pizzas we ordered. My son-in-law ordered the Quattro carne 10-in pizza and I ordered the supremo 12-in pizza. My son-in-law had been there the prior week with his mother so he had an idea of what to expect. According to him, she got a great looking pie that was substantial and delectable. We both added some ingredients to enhance them. When the pizzas came my son-in-law looked at his and couldn't find four different meats. Nor could I. In fact, The quantity of toppings was very disappointing and I was missing mushrooms from my pizza. So we sent them back. Then the manager, Sierra, brought the pizzas back to the table and began to pick at my son-in-law's pizza to show him that there were four meats on the pizza. She acknowledged the lack of mushrooms on mine. So she returned with my pizza with some chopped mushrooms on top. They weren't even hot! My son-in-law was so upset that he didn't eat his pizza. I on the other hand decided to have a few slices of mine. I have to admit, this was the worst pizza I've ever had. It was cold and the crust was tough. The ingredients were very very sparse. This of course put a damper on everyone's experience. we all tried to make light of it but at the end of the day it was a horrible experience. My suggestion to management is when someone returns a dish for whatever reason, just go to the table and find out what the problem was. Offer to remake the dish and that's that. Don't argue with the customer and pick in their food. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. I'm giving you two stars because the other dishes were fine to the rest...

Had Mother’s Day Brunch w reservations at 2:00P. Immediately upon arrival the waiter advised that the kitchen was behind and food would take 1/2 hour. We ordered our food immediately along with Drinks and water. Was told they were out of several Mothers Day brunch items. It took 30 minutes to get water and drinks while 1/2 of our party of 10 sat in the direct sun. Way too few shade umbrellas. Given they “unbelievably” were out of FRUIT at Mothers Day brunch snd we had three small children (as expected). My son ent next door to Harris Teeter snd bought some pre-cut fruit at the store for our group. Eventually the food came after 1.5 hours. But that was just a few of the meals. They came in over the course of 15 minutes. Party was eating at separate times, the children lost focus an hour earlier, two had to leave because of the long wait before the food even came. Now about the food. Given the options were limited because they were out of main items I would say it was “average” at best!! Most had what amounted to Tater tots with two eggs on top with some peppers mixed in. Not exactly a culinary creation that takes two hours to prepare. The others had basically a breakfast burrito. Sunburns and basically awful experience. Can blame bad government policy for some labor shortages, but absent management and running out of food basics is unacceptable. Worst restaurant experience I’ve...
