Had lunch here today and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. My daughter picked this place as she wanted to try something new and we were not disappointed. This was our first time trying Vietnamese cuisine so we weren't sure what to expect. I cannot remember the exact names of everything but I ordered the wide rice noodles with beef and it was tremendous. The beef had great flavor and noodles were delicious. My daughter had the Ramen soup with chicken and she loved it. The noodles were delicious and the broth was very flavorful. My wife has the fried rice with chicken. It was similar to a Chinese style fried rice with just a little bit of flavor change. This was also excellent. For an appetizer we ordered the spring rolls. They came quickly and hot with a wonderful sweet chili sauce. We were very happy we ordered these. (There were 4 but only 1 is pictured, they were that good). Our server was attentive, nice, and always available. The restaurant was quiet, clean and overall we had a great experience. If you're wondering if this place is worth trying out absolutely is. We intentionally did not eat breakfast and still did not come close to finishing any of our meals. We will definitely take friends and family here...
Read moreThis is not a negative review. The food was good. Wife was disappointed with what we thought would be a sort of fried rice noodle sesame dish. Was more of a soggy dish with sesame seeds thrown on. This is not a cheap Asian restaurant but like when you order sesame chicken at the corner chinese place and it is the same as the general Tsaos with sesame sprinkled on top. That was the is dish. Still good.
Pho was really good. But got one sprig of cilantro, 2 slices of jalapeño, 2 sprigs of basil, and a quarter handful of sprouts. Just give me a plate full of the accoutrement that should be included in the dish price. Don’t upcharge for the additional items requested.
I always tip 20-30% but went lower when i saw my table request for more of these items was an additional charge.
Again, not meant to be negative. Service was great. Food was good. Website management is great selling the northeast diverse culture, family owned vibe, but don’t nickle and dime for what is “traditional” at any other pho establishment. The sides are part of introducing those maybe not so familiar with the ethnic culture to the delight that is pho and southeast...
Read moreAvoid if you have allergies or specific dietary needs. We called ahead to ask what dishes didn't have dairy or animal protein since we're vegan or what could be made that way. We were assured the papaya salad and tofu bahn mi didn't have any meat, fish, dairy or hidden animal ingredients. When the papaya salad came out, the server asked if we found shrimp in it since she wasn't sure it was picked out before being served. What??? Hard no! You don't pick stuff out. It needs to be made without it and if it's premade you need to tell the patron. Shrimp can be deadly if someone's allergic. There's a REASON patrons ask for specific accommodations that need to be taken SERIOUSLY. With our first bite of the Bahn Mi we asked if the coconut cream sauce was purposely made to taste like mayonaisse. The server said well it is mayonaisse. OMFG. Mayonaisse is made with EGGS. Hello? Run from this place if you have allergies or expect they will understand what vegan means. They don't take these requests seriously. Our server said, well I'm not sure the kitchen read my notes about your...
