Pretty decent Japanese food in a pinch. But I wouldn’t make it a habit to come here. All the Japanese basics, plus a good selection of sushi/sashimi. The prices are pretty steep, especially for the dinner time portions, especially since the food didn’t seem fancy or gourmet. It was pretty basic. The chicken was just chunked chicken with barely any sauce on it at all, I had to rely on the taste of the yum yum sauce for flavor. Broccoli was good, and the rice was solid. My wife said the sushi was 3/5. I will say the atmosphere is pretty good inside. Low light, and sort of relaxing. The outside of the shop needs some improvement though, but there’s only so much you can do at a strip mall. I can see myself coming back here if I wanted some Japanese food really quickly since it’s close to where I live. However, if I wanted more authentic or better quality Japanese, I’d go elsewhere. This is pretty generic. Overall, not terrible but not amazing.

Made a reservation for my husband's birthday on May 1st at 6:30. We arrived about 10 minutes early and we're seated. Server came over from the start she wasn't very pleasant. But after waiting 9 minutes for two drinks, a water and a small sake. After the other two couples that came in after us got their drinks I complained with the host. He was nice enough to take us. My husband really wanted hibachi for his birthday. Because I was prepared to leave and go to senor tequila or kickin chicken. The lady serve that night really needs an attitude adjustment and maybe a position in back of house. She sucks. The host needs a raise and her job. They also give fried ice cream for birthdays. Just have your id too verify

Not very happy with my food. Everything was bland, my rice was partially fried. I thought the island paradise sushi was weird. For some reason I was expecting a sushi roll but it's literally a crab salad packed on top of a half of avocado yuck. My two stars is only for the service because everyone was really nice and greeted me with smiles. I really wanted to like it here but unfortunately I don't. I will not be returning honestly I wish I could get a refund on my food because it was fairly pricey and I was not satisfied.

We used to visit Bushido in West Ashley very frequently but once we moved it was too far of a drive. When the Summerville location opened we were so excited and of course became regulars. Over the years the food has continued to remain pretty consistent aside from a few times it wasn’t as fresh as others but nothing to really complain about. They also don’t support the military discount like the other location does which I found odd but it’s just a few dollars so it didn’t stop us from going. My reason for the 3 star rating is because they started doing a drawing if you spend over $50. We have literally spent thousands here so it was exciting to get something back in return. The first drawing we were given a card for free Wontons. We came a few weeks later but couldn’t redeem because we didn’t know it had to be used within 2 weeks of getting the card, nothing was told and nothing indicating this on the card. We didn’t expect it anyway so didn’t throw a fuss about it. That night we got another card this time for 3 special sushi rolls. We were thrilled! Came back within the 2 weeks but then was told that even though it says 3 rolls we could only get 1 roll per visit, again nothing was mentioned about this when we were given the card. This means you have to eat there 4 times (including initial visit) within 2 weeks to get all 3 rolls. That’s insane. We love sushi but that’s way too quick of a turn around time. I understand it is a way to get more business but it is misleading and gave us loyal customers a bad vibe. It is nice to offer promos like that but if you have qualifications that specific they should be given up front. Not sure if management has changed but this has def...

Very disappointing experience. We had eaten dine many times. The food was always delicious.Friday night, an alarming experience occured. We ordered for PICK UP/Take OUT. After we had picked up our meal and gotten home (10 min drive away) we are called, and told we need to come back with the food they gave us. They had given us the wrong order. Friday night up Dorchester can be a challenge at best. It took 20 mins to get back and the food we had been given, another customer was wating for. They handed the bag they gave to us, to the customer and our order was still there. LUKE WARM...They did not give us a new batch. (Health Dept issues???) We get home, and open up the containers, and the porition sizes are like for children. 1/4 of a cup of soup?! Come on! The other items are so cold at this point, too. So I called to complain. I was told they would give me 15% off my next dine in order. I asked for a refund. NO. That is terrible customer service. Terrible food handling. I will no longer feel safe eating here. And to give the bag of food from us that had been in OUR car directly to another person.....NO. Just no. My bank was called and they said as soon as the charges post I can call and dispute this. I will...
