Heard about this pizzeria on Facebook. Saw that they are certified Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) which means they serve true Neapolitan pizza. Me being a HUGE traditional pizza fan I just had to go. I live in Myrtle Beach which is two hours away so one day I made the trip down. I remember during my drive saying to myself this place better be worth it cause this is really a long drive for pizza lol. Let me tell you this place is definitely worth the drive! The pizza was authentic and full of flavor. I do local pizza reviews and I'm always checking out the crust because that is a big thing for me. Most places derive their flavors from toppings and neglect their dough. Not this place, the flavor of the crust was subtle but amazing. Their desserts were just as amazing. We had the cannoli, limoncello-mascarpone cake and that Sfogliatella was incredible! The only drawback is that I don't live closer. I'm jealous of the people who live in Summerville and can eat here anytime they want. I know that not everyone will appreciate this style of pizza, especially if they are use to cheap chain pizza. This is definitely not that style, not the crispy type of pizza that is typically found here in the U.S. Also, it is a smaller 12" pizza, not the huge gut buster that other places serve. This is authentic Naples style which is the birthplace of pizza, it's all about quality ingredients. You can spend a few thousand dollars and fly to Italy to experience authentic Neapolitan pizza, or simply make the drive here. I've now made the drive down to Summerville twice from Myrtle Beach to eat here and honestly I can't wait to go back!!

We moved here last week. I’m from Naples , born and raised, and since we arrived to Summerville, I couldn’t wait to try the pizza from Antica Pizzeria, and I have to say, I’m so impressed. I don’t like to leave reviews and I especially dislike writing long ones, but this place deserves the praise. As soon as I grabbed the pizza boxes from the delivery guy, I smelled “ home “ . Their pizza sauce is fresh and doesn’t taste like garlic and sugar . The dough is artfully made and my ripieno was just the way I like it, not overfilled with mozzarella cheese and with the right amount of ricotta. It is hands down the best pizza I had here in the US and one of the best I even had in Naples. We had our pizza delivered, because we’re still unpacking our things, but soon, my family and I will definitely go enjoy our pizza at this place. Highly recommended!! Bravissimi !

This place is amazing, if you wanted to have a taste of Naples this is the place. The pizza was just like what you get in Naples, Italy. It makes sense since the owner is from there. You do have to remember that american pizza is okay pizza dough with a ton of topping to give it taste. You will want to taste the delicious crust of this pizza and of course everything is perfectly balanced so it will not be smothered in toppings. I am so glad that this food is not overdone with sugary tomato paste and salt. Everything was absolutely delicious and the ingredients they use are only the best and freshest. The servers and cooks are also really nice. You can tell that a lot of love and pride is put into making this food. The restaurant is very clean and you can see them making your food. There is also a good amount of parking.

Sometimes too many rave reviews sets your expectations too high, and this was the case with this restaurant. We decided to try it for Sunday lunch. It started with being served 2 flat Cokes. When I asked for replacements, the server said yeah, they are usually not good when we first open - the ice has to cool something. Question: then why serve it if you know it is no good?

We had the Caprese salad and were very disappointed. The mozzarella was not fresh and had a more solid consistency. I have never had one without a balsamic glaze. When I asked, they brought some balsamic vinegar.

The Focacia bread appetizer was very good, but came with no oil, so I asked for some olive oil for dipping - which is customary with that type of appetizer.

The meatball appetizer was very good. The sauce is superb.

When I got the check, I was nickel & dimed. The charged $1 for the vinegar, and $0.50 for the oil. And then another $1 for using a credit card. Look, I understand things are tough, but don't charge for every little ting a customer needs. Adjust your prices accordingly, and then satisfy your customer. They didn't even have Parmesan cheese nor red peppers out for customers. I probably would have been charged if I requested some.

Too may other good places to eat - one jut down the road from them. We...

For some time I’ve been wanting to try this place. I’m a foodie and certainly a Pizza lover. Originally this was not the review I had in mind.

I first called to place my order For carry out ; and I must say the young lady on the phone was rude , and had zero customer service. As a new customer I at least expected Some courtesy. I overlooked this and place my order. She then Told me that it would be ready in 20 minutes.

I had the Capri and Limoncello. If you don’t know the Capri is basically a deep fried Calzone. I’ve had this in NY , CA;PR and a few others. I had big hopes to only be disappointed. I then arrive 20 minutes later and the owner tells me that it would be a few more minutes; I had no rush; 15/20 minutes later it was ready. The Capri was very bland; the dough was gummy; the sauce can certainly use improvement; it comes with ricotta ;however It truly lacked the ingredient, the cheese was a glob Of cheese and and the overall Taste was not there ; it did not taste good.Again highly disappointed. Across The Board experience was terrible . The limoncello was very good, this was the best part of all this ... I was very disappointed ; I do wish them the very very best. Do not be offended by my review as it might sound harsh ; however it was...
