Chef Racks Garlic Crabs — Restaurant in North Charleston

First time in Charleston and had a few Uber drivers recommend Chef Racks. Small little spot in the corner of a strip mall. Unassuming and easy to miss on the outside. Honestly it appears a bit understated on the inside as well. However the place was clean and the staff were very pleasant. Price was good and portions were very generous! They did not serve alcohol at the time I stopped by. I ended up eating my food in the spot and I eat every spec while chatting with the staff. DMV boy so I had to order the Fish and crab cake platter. It wasn’t jumbo lump, but it was very tasty and it was real blue crab. Fish and fries were a tasty bonus that left me full and satisfied. I will definitely make my way back if I find my way down to Charleston again. Wish I took a pic of my plater....

I have found my all time favorite restaurant , OMG ! Best seafood in town. Conveniently located, the staff is friendly and oh my gosh, the quality of food could not be any better and I’m being serious. I don’t usually do reviews however ,this one had to be done. I’ll be back like tomorrow. It was good to meet you Chef Rack ! My sincere compliments to the chef and that would be you ! Crab Cakes …. The best I’ve ever had. I truly give it a 10 . I can’t recommend this place highly enough if you don’t go, you’re missing out.. sincerely a new loyal customer.

It was the end of our "Girls Day" and we wanted to try Garlic Crab, and found out about this place through a Google search. They were getting ready to close in 35 minutes, so the seats were put up when we arrived, however, the restaurant was clean, small,(cozy) and still smelled of delicious dishes 😋...The person who took our order looked disinterested and seemed like she was ready to be done, hence why i didn't leave a tip, but despite that, we made our order, and tho it was pricey, (crab legs usually are) The Garlic crab legs and shrimp are flavorful and the meal quite filling!
