Athena Diner II — Restaurant in North Haven

This place has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The manger who refused to give her name kicked us out because my wife, who is a disabled veteran, was told she could not have her cup of medicine. This was she said because the law prohibits outside cups. I asked for the sign and state law to verify it, she said she could not provide it at this time. I said then there is no law at this time. At this point she rudely said then you will not eat here, took out menus and kicked us out. For no reason. When we asked for a manger we were told there was no manger, but she was calling the police. For what we asked and again was Rudly told to leave. As we were exiting a waitress said leave you are making the My customers uncomfortable, why did she attack us like this I have no idea, but followed us out and recorded us. I will NEVER recommended this...

Worst Diner in CT. I made the poor choice of getting steak and eggs. The steak had the consistency of steak, but it tasted like water. Seriously.. it was awful. And this is coming from someone who LOVES steak. Sure you may say that it's what I get for ordering steak at a diner, but Acropolis Diner over in Hamden has great steak and eggs. So does Twin Pines in East Haven/Branford. My friend got chocolate chip pancakes and he could not even finish one (out of three), and this guy loves chocolate chip pancakes.

Also the waitress was rude, and apparently you cannot use more than one card to split the bill. The owner gave us an attitude about it so my one friend paid for much more than what he ordered via his debit card.

I'll never come here again and I highly suggest you do not either. If you want a diner with quality food and staff, drive a few miles down the road to...

Ordered here 3 nights in a row . Ordered 3 completely different meals. Not impressed by the food. The pork souvlaki was pretty bland and my pasta was swimming in a pool of water. They're very busy so I wouldn't say there food is bad, they were just convenient for me, so I ordered multiple times. They definitely know how to make a carrot cake. Very very good. I normally wouldn't write a review, as I'm not picky with my food, you cant please everyone, and I understand how busy they were. But because of this passive aggressive circle around the "no", as if I had selected no utensils, there must be some confusion that should be addressed. Uber eats provides no selection for utensils. Although they do provide a neat little note section at the bottom that suggests you ask for utensils if needed. Therefore, I asked...
