Updated review: Updated review from 2 to 4. Went back a 2nd time and overall experience was much better. Truffle oil burrata appetizer was great, but they should have shaved the melon or made it easier to assemble in plate. The veal chop I had was great but expensive special at $45, came with two types of potatoes (not sure why). Pancetta pasta was delicious but needed more texture. Wanted a pizza but unfortunately they said they were short staffed (understandable in current climate) so no one was working the brick oven. It's an amazing looking oven so I was disappointed! (All their pizza doughs were left sitting out and no one was using them... 🤷🤷. Original review: Everything was under salted and under seasoned. I had seafood risotto ($35) watch out for their specials they're way higher $ wise then their menu. Veal chop $45, $28 rigatoni pancetta, $35 for a seafood risotto that's just clams, shrimp and mussels is a little outrageous . My risotto was very al dente. (Not sure how that happens since risotto overcooks so fast). My wife ordered the lobster pappardelle and it was also super Al dente, and had very little lobster. We asked the waiter if the pappardelle was supposed to be al dente he said he didn't know and would check, but then he never did. Everything was under seasoned. A table next to us sent back their pasta dishes as well so it wasn't just us. The seafood was actually the only saving grace it all tasted good. The waiter was super nice so this really isn't a jab at their service but the food was just forgettable, and at those prices it shouldn't be.

My sister and I wanted to stop and get a quick cocktail before going home. We walked in and sat at the bar. It took over 15 minutes to acknowledge us. We both ordered a drink and an appetizer. About 15 minutes later my sister's drink was delivered to her. About another 15 minutes passed and the appetizer came. We mentioned that I still did not get my drink. Another 5 minutes passed and the waitress that delivered our appetizer and the male bartender were going back and forth. Turns out they did not have the ingredients to make my drink. I chose another drink. The male bartender made the drink and left it in the shaker and went away. The waitress came over to see if I got my drink yet. I did not have my drink. She went over and poured my drink and served it to me. I got the check, paid, and left. It took about an hour and a half to get a drink and an appetizer- sitting at the bar. It was so crazy how the bartender just ignored us, it was so pathetic that I was laughing about it. I tipped 20% even though the service I received was not worth it. I was charged for everything we got. I find it to be insane that the drink was not comped~ but then again~ I did not make a scene about the pathetic service I got... SITTING AT THE BAR- less than 3 feet from the bartender the entire time. I think it is safe to say I will never go back again.

Lots of Food.....and It's All Good Food This was our first visit and we were very impressed! The pork chop special was so massive that my wife took 1-1/2 of the 2 giant pork chops home. The accompanying polenta was very tasty with good consistency. You really need to look at the Special Menu online before you go to the restaurant. Our very good waitress, Sarah, spent a long time listing all the specials from memory. Because there are probably two dozen of them, it's impossible to remember them all when trying to make a selection. I was waiting for the waitress to list the pane cotto I saw on the online menu, but she didn't mention it. When I asked about the pane cotto, she said, "Sure, we can make that for you." I had the vitello valdostana (veal scallopini topped with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and eggplant), which was also excellent. After our leftovers were packaged, Sarah went through a long list of deserts, and I settled on the cherry amaretto gelato, but I would have been very happy with half a dozen other selections. La Lupa has quickly zoomed to one of the top restaurants on our list of favorites for several good reasons. We will definitely be back!

Update-- 1/24/25 Jesussssss christ. After tonight's experience, I know this place isn't worth it. We had a reservation for 6:45pm. Party of 4. We sit down in the bar area, took our waitress 10 min just to get to our table. Once she took our drink order, she literally disappeared for over 30 minutes. She didn't return to take our order for apps or entrees when she delivered our drinks. We finally order after being there for almost 45 / 50 Minutes. We decide to order everything all at once. We finally get our apps, and now almost 1 ½hrs go by. We get our salads (see photos) which were small and only had tomatoes on it and lettuce....... we get our food and again waitress disappeared. She checked in maybe once, then took forever to finally give us our bill. Didn't offer to refill my coffee, nor did she pack our items to go. Another waitress did that while she was MIA. BY the time we left , it was 9:30pm!!!!!!!! I will never ever return to this place. This is the 2nd time I have gotten poor service. There's zero excuse for dinner to take this long. Waiting tables for many years, I'm very aware about how many tables she has, the section she's working etc. She acted as if she didn't care. Unfortunately no matter how good the food is, waiting for 3 hrs to get it is just ridiculous. Just don't bother coming here unless you have time to waste that you will never get back.

Prior review: Just mediocre.....

Went tonight with 4 friends. Service was weird.... person who brings out bread and water to the table simply brings them, walks away. Took another 15 min for waitress to come take app/drink order. Took over an hr just to get the appetizer. Apps were decent. Waitress was friendly, but not too organized, and seemed either new or busy overwhelmed. Waited another 30 min for dinner to arrive. One friend of mine got an Italian margarita , it was$15.... Dinner was ok, nothing to ride home about..... Waitress didn't check on us during dinner but did refill water. Felt like we just were there, but it was like she forgot about us. I think for the price, and for their REALLY limited menu, I wouldn't go back. We didn't really care the food took so long, catching up with friends we haven't seen in a while, but the price of this place doesn't add up to the high prices and...

My parents raved about this restaurant so when I was in town, we decided to go together. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we all arrived at 7:15 and were seated promptly. Unfortunately our experience was nothing special after this. It took our waitress over 20 minutes to acknowledge us and then another 20 minutes to receive our drinks. We tried to put in our appetizer order when we ordered drinks as we recognized it was super busy; however, our waitress told us to wait. We received our apps and then our entrees and not once did our waitress ask us how the food was, ask for another drinks or refill our water. We had to flag her down, which I hate doing as I have also worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years and it’s my biggest pet peeve. However it appeared our waitress was blatantly ignoring us due to being busy. Further my mother order the short rib fettuccini and when it came out it appeared to be beef stew with carrots and celery and not cheese. Unfortunately my mom had to eat it cause it was impossible to correct the mistake due to our waitress not acknowledging us. After dinner we asked for the check, waited over 30 minutes for it and she brought us limoncello shots. There are 5 of us and she brought 4. Overall it seemed the kitchen wasn’t communicating with the floor staff and the floor staff was too overwhelmed with the amount of people to provide adequate hospitality. The food was incredible however the stress of waiting and wondering when food was coming out is not worth...
