Cajun Crackin — Restaurant in North Las Vegas

I never leave food reviews because I feel they are a waste of time. Not this time! We ordered for pickup so I can’t speak to the service or anything else other than the food. WE ABSOLUTELY HATED IT!! My wife is from Louisiana and I trust her opinion on what fried catfish should look and taste like. I’ve had fried catfish a handful of times and none of it has ever tasted as terrible as this place. My wife said “I am appalled at the entire meal”. Everything, and I mean everything that was deep fried, tasted like fish. And I don’t mean it tasted like fried catfish, it tasted like some one put in the food, a week old fish that had been sitting on a counter at room temp. Got chicken strips for our daughter… tasted like fish, the french fries… FISH! Crispy tempura green beans… fish. The one sushi roll I got was edible, but I’ve had gas station sushi that tasted better. Also every piece wanted to crumble in to pieces as soon as I picked it up. The only thing that we didn’t throw away after only about 3 bites, was the sushi. My wife and daughter don’t eat sushi. So we spent over $50 for 4 different menu items. 2 meals, 1 roll and 1 appetizer, only to throw it in the trash. There is nothing Cajun about this place. They should just change the name to “Tastes like fish”. Never been more disappointed with a meal before. I went to much better place that actually cares about their food and how it tastes so my wife could have proper fried catfish. Honestly should’ve gone there first. To start off, the customer service was peak. The guy with the glasses, long hair that was in a man bun, he was super sweet! He explained their menu, the options he recommended, super friendly, very helpful.

My friends and I all ordered Combo 1 and honestly it was very filling, we go out with full tummies. The one thing I did notice that caught my attention was the corn, their corn was so sweet and boiled to perfection. The shrimp was also so delicious, that was my favorite! My friends really loved the flavor of the food, it’s nothing like we had. We got the “house special” but I would recommend the “tongue on fire” because it had more flavor and the spice level was at 4/10.

The atmosphere was very welcoming, warm, they were playing lullaby music in which it made us a little sleepy but it was a vibe. I saw TikTok videos about this place and the hype is very much there, if you have the time to visit, I would recommend going to the place to eat! I’m a big back and even I couldn’t finish Combo 1. It’s very much worth the money.

The last thing was that they had a special where they give out 3 tokens for where you can play the 3 claw machines to win a plushie, we didn’t win anything and the guy was like “one more try” and gave us another 3 tokens, we still lost but it was super fun!!

I am convinced that all these reviews are in fact FAKE. My family and I went here on 2/25/25 when we first walked in we were greeted by a rotten egg smell. We thought well they are cooking eggs maybe that’s what it is. Second red flag was the shock on the waiters face when we asked to sit down and eat being that there was NO ONE there I thought maybe that was the reason. It took them longer than expected to even just give us our drinks which is whatever and must I say the DRINK FOUNTAIN is probably the cleanest thing there and the best tasting thing they have. I paid 65$ for a basic seafood bag fries hush puppies and 4 kid drinks. When he brought out the seafood there was small flies flying around it and the flies WOULD NOT leave the table no matter how many times we waved our hands by them. There was absolutely NO TASTE to the butter sauce at all it literally just looked like butter with fake seasoning in a bag. The customer service was nothing short of NOTHING at all because they barely interacted or checked on us.
