Not your typical Mexican seafood place. Great food, friendly and attentive servers, excellent ambiance. Restrooms are clean and not smelly, servers help each other and they come by often and are honest about items you order. Prices are reasonable. Owners of restaurant are nice, hard-working people. I don't do reviews much unless I am very impressed. I had read reviews and wanted to give it a try since is a high rated restaurant and I can say, I agree to what most people say. We visited today for lunch. We were greeted with a nice "welcome" by the server who took care of our table. We ordered the octopus dish and it was delicious. We also ordered tostada de pulpo and tostada mixta. They were nicely presented and flavorful as well. We are foodies so we ordered a number of dishes. Poor experience. Freezer burn food. Lack off communication. Dirty looks due to me asking to return scallops that clearly tastes freezer burn. I explained multiple times I did not want the food nor nothing for free. I was given the scallops back even though I said did not want them. which they packed up in the back out of my sight while they were upset so I have no idea what they could have done to it. Instead of trying to convince me the scallops were fresh because they brought me “fresh scallops”. I never wanted to complain but the treatment I was given when I nicely explained this not good because it could be me sick. Not for any other reason. Not only was I mistreated but talk down by few of their staff. I explained myself in English and in Spanish. Mind you my brother and myself were the only few customers in there.
