This was my first time going to the Losee location. I used to live closer to the Craig location. I ordered the Greek salad add gyro meat online to go. With tax it was almost $17. Very high for a salad but I have had it at Craig location on their outside patio before and loved it. When I walked up to counter, I told the girl that I ordered online and gave her my name. The bag was sitting right there, and she just pushed it toward me across the counter. I told her I had never ordered to-go before and asked if it comes with the pita and tzatziki. She sounded annoyed and said "Yes, it's in there" Maybe she was pissed because I did notice she was counting money, and I interrupted her? Anyway, no thank you or other words from her, just annoyed looking. I drove 7 minutes home and started eating my Salad. The side of vinaigrette dressing was mostly olive oil with hardly any vinegar and spices. No flavor. More than half of the gyro meat was dried out. The dried meat looked smooth like the outside meat of a new cone. For almost $17 I was not happy with my salad so I decided to call and let them know. I asked for the manager and was told she had run to the bank. I told the girl on the phone why I was calling and She was friendly and took down my number saying "I don't know if she will refund you or what, but I'll have her call you back. She should be back within 30 minutes". I then said, "I'm not looking for a refund, but maybe a discount for next time" I never received a call back, and no messages either. In the end I threw away more than half the salad because there was no flavor from the olive oil dressing. So, I decided to write this review and not visit this...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I typically get a meal here almost every time we do our weekly Sprouts run. As is our normal tradition, my boyfriend placed a to go order at this location on 8/3. When we started in on our meals, I discovered that my tzatziki sauce was covered in mold. This was very upsetting to discover and made me question the quality of the rest of my meal.
I called the location to alert them. I asked the answering employee for a manager because I wanted to report there was mold in my food (Please note, I am not exaggerating. I explicitly told him this was regarding mold in my meal). The staff member simply told me the manager would be in the next day and I could call then. When I stated there must be someone higher up to let them know they may have a food safety problem, the employee then said that he was the supervisor (uh huh, sure) and asked what he could do.
I told him I'm just trying to make sure someone knows and takes action to check their food, because my tzatziki was covered in mold. He casually offered to let me come back to replace it. No apology for the situation, no comment or reassurance for plans to address the problem/prevent it from happening in the future. I said I wasn't coming back to replace a sauce, but they need to check their food because it was blatantly moldy. He just replied, "Thanks for letting me know."
The lack of concern about a report of mold makes me worry that there are larger food safety issues at play and it made me feel too uncomfortable to eat any more of my meal. For the same reason, coupled with the other Google reviews of poor food quality I only saw when going to write this review, I don't see...
Read moreI heard about this restaurant from the manager of a different location raving about the food. I've not tried the food at her location however, Losee rd location will not be open very long. I placed the order online for two Gyros and ordered an additional tzatziki sauce. To my surprise there was only one sauce in the bag after I got home 🤔. Now if the sandwichs did not come with the tzatziki sauce (which I've never heard of for a gyro) they should have advised me on the phone. I arrived and my order was waiting, there was 7 employees behind the counter and I only 1 lady on the cash register and was in training. Not one employee welcomed me or the other two customers. Finally I told one of the guys behind the counter I was picking up my order, he acknowledged it was ready and that I needed to wait to be checked out. Still only one girl on the register and the other six employees where there having a private conversation which obviously had nothing to do with the business 🙄. After paying I asked if the three tzatziki sauces were in the bag she said yes, I paid gave a tip and left. To my surprise when I got home there was only one sauce in the bag. The gyos were not bad but was loaded with very very sour Fetti Cheese which does not belong on a gyro! The pita bread was obviously not fresh dry and crumbly. I cant speak of the other locations however, whomever is running this location needs to be replaced ASAP along with the staff. Very poor customer service and the staff was more interested in having their own private conversation than actually working. This place is more like a student run high-school cafeteria and will not be...
