Golden Phoenix Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in North Las Vegas

I like onions, I eat them. But when I order yellow chicken curry & get 65% onions.. honestly wt heck? Flavor was great, we order from here on occasion and I usually get kung pao chicken and a few other entrees for the fam. I like their serving sizes but this is ridiculous. I ate some of the onions out of this plate, mind you (see photo). Those are full corners of the onion on top, not potatoes.I called them, dude says they measure their portions (yeah right) and he'll talk to the chef and the manager (yeah right). Kinda pisses ne off there was no attempt to make it right. I don't look for freebees that's not my style, but a good company would put forth the effort so they don't lose a customer and get a bad review. There are a hundred "Chinese" places in this town. We've had issues with them in the past with fluid all inside the plastic bags etc and had to clean everything before we could eat it and it seems they've corrected it?? Oh also it took 75 minutes to get my food but they did tell me that up front. And we tip $10 every time so I guess someone more deserving can...

U know sometimes in life we take things we love for granted, that's how I feel writing this review! Golden Phoenix is hands down the best Chinese place in North Las Vegas! I order them at both jobs, share w coworkers cause there's enuf, at home, delivery for my teenagers when I'm at work, for years now! They r a huge part of our community, they feed a lot of people successfully everyday! But, they do it with such dignity and grace, Ive never had delivery like theirs, just super fast and still piping hot! I don't know why I haven't posted sooner, highly recommend! These people r like extended family at this point! Tonight I overslept on my day off and they even made sure to get my big order out right before closing, we love u Golden Phoenix!!! Make sure to try the Tom Yum Soup, it's exquisite, I get it w extra veggies and just a little spicy w shrimp.... Sooooo goooood!!!!! Thanks again for everything...

I recently ordered takeout from Golden Phoenix and was seriously impressed! The portion sizes are amazing—especially for to-go orders. For just $4 extra, you get a full-sized side of either chow mein or fried rice, which is such a great deal.

Everything was fresh and delicious. The Sweet & Sour Chicken and Broccoli Beef both came with generous servings and were packed with flavor. The Vegetable Egg Rolls were crispy and light, and the free Chicken Fried Rice (with their $45+ coupon special) was such a nice bonus.

My only small suggestion would be with the Sizzling Rice Soup. While the flavor was great, I wish the sizzling rice had been packaged on the side—it lost its crisp and made the soup a bit oily from sitting too long.

That said, everything else exceeded expectations. Golden Phoenix is definitely one of my new go-to spots for Chinese takeout...
