My family and I have been to this location a few times, but the last visit left not only me,but others absolutely DISGUSTED. On a Saturday night, with no more than 3 families ranging from 3-5 people, yeah that's it,the buffet was pathetic. It started with the "manager" berating a trainee that was putting in our request for buffet because she didn't know how to do it. Not ok. Then, him along with FOUR other employees putting her down and making fun of her in the buffet area where everyone can hear instead of making food. The buffet consisted of 4 pizzas,2 pepperoni, obviously been sitting there,no deserts,no chicken, nothing to serve. Employees were standing there, running their mouths instead of their jobs. The family near us got fed up and demanded a refund to which the manager refused but eventually gave, needless to say, nobody ate. I got fed up and took my kids to the fun zone. For what I spent and what others have, not worth it. The conduct and attitude of the manager and employees made me sick. My husband and I used to work at a pizza ranch and that is definitely not how you run a buffet or how to present yourself...

I walked back into the kitchen and saw the young male fully engaged with the girl about 10ft from the register and the middle age guy was in the back making a pizza. I said hi, I'm ready when you are and the young kid begrudgingly came out.
Fast forward through the standard pizza ranch quality food (like chucky cheese 20 years ago, if you haven't been here) and to the game room. 4 games are broken, and judging by the high price for mediocre pizza ($16 a plate), someone is drawing too large of a salary or they're failing as a business.
The broken games have no signs, but they do take your money. Then you get to deal with the young male kid telling you oh yeah, it's, like, broken. Then explaining that one of the broken games doesn't take your money if it doesn't make a certain sound. It's fairly annoying. Normally is a good exp here, but apparently when there's no adult supervision, the...
Read moreYou would think at 630 pm which is prime time for eating that you could go to pizza ranch and find the buffet line full of food. Especially on the evening of Iowa homecoming. But hell no. Salad bar basically empty, no chicken, corn empty, no potato wedges, about 4 or 5 partial pizzas, the coke & sprite both empty, the baked beans nearly empty but dry & disgusting and very little desert pizza. Over an hour later 2 pans of chicken were put out and gone in a few minutes. Still no more corn or baked beans, salad bar still virtually empty. But I did see them add lettuce from a bag. I think 3 pizzas were added during that time. No desert pizzas were added. Why was there not a competent manager there on what anyone would expect to be a busy night? I have had my fill of being disappointed when I go to the North Liberty pizza ranch. I do not plan to ever eat...
