I went to this restaurant (Hardee’s on the corner of McCain and JFK) the other day (June 14, 2023 at lunch time).I only stopped at this store because I had to use the restroom. I am a 61 year old white male with several health problems. Prostate disease being one of them. I made it in the store and before I made it to the bathroom a young black employee stopped me and asked if I was going to be placing an order, I said no I just needed to use the bathroom. She told me I could not use the restroom unless I was going to order something. I told her if she didn't let me in the bathroom I would probably not make it and would pee on the floor. She just turned around and walked off. I tried again to open the door and it was still locked. I went up to counter and I asked are you not going to unlock the door. Then an older black female employee told me I could not use the bathroom because it didn't flush. I corrected the lady and told her, no ma'am the other lady told me I could not use the restroom unless I was going to be placing an order. I turned to walk off and she then told me I could use the restroom if I didn't flush it. Read moreI’ll start with the food was good. With that out of the way, management went out of the way to type up a lie stating that it was not a public restroom and to ask the cashier for the code. Well after having to uses it really bad. I walked back down the hallway to ask the cashier and the manager stated that a purchase had to be made first and I would have a code on the receipt to use to enter the restroom (now it seemed to be up to date so I just assumed this was 2022 status with a code to enter) still having to use the restroom I waited behind the guy placing an order with my legs crossed(yeah I’m 39 I have to sometimes) which originally seemed to be 2 people in line but the other wasn’t actually (I was happy about that) so I order and leave my cup on the counter and am on the way BACK down the hallway. Well the guy (cashier) is walking at the same speed behind me wanting to unlock the door for me. YEAH THERE WAS NO CODE!!! like seriously. Help me understand the lie.. please! Read moreUsually everything is perfect. I go twice a week most weeks for the last 9 years. Yesterday I got the wrong biscuit, one that costs several dollars less than what I paid for. Couldn't go back yesterday without being late for work. I just knew I'd get the same friendly service as always, but I didn't. The same woman, an assistant manager, that gave me the wrong order yesterday, came to help me. I didn't have my receipt, true, but being a long time customer. I thought we could come to a reasonable solution by charging me today for the price of the biscuit I actually received yesterday, thus balancing things out. Before I could suggest that, she got defensive and refused to do anything without a receipt and turned away. It all got rather out of hand after that. At the same time, worker at the window, who appeared very nervous and agitated, keep mouthing off and saying things like, " you asked for a manager" ( emphasis on asked) and other things I couldn't decipher. I finally just said let me pay for today's biscuit and I won't be back. I also said, to be completely forthcoming here, that with that attitude she probably wouldn't work anywhere but fast food.
