Kaluas Snack Bar — Restaurant in North Little Rock

I lucked out and found this spot while searching Google for desserts. It’s tucked away in a small strip mall behind the bank of Little Rock.

I am so glad they have picture menus because I’d have absolutely no idea what to get. It was so hard to choose so we ended up with the Russa (pineapple agua fresca with grapefruit soda topped with pineapple, Chamoy and chili seasoning), fruit cup with no chamoy and chili seasoning on the side, and a cup of esquites which is Mexican street corn that is already off the cob.

Everything was SO GOOD. The Russa was my favorite because the drink was sooooo refreshing. It’s exactly what I needed on a hot summer evening.

Kaluas Snack Bar is amazing. They have really great tamales and other treats. Everything is amazing. They have the best Tre leches coke. They have the most beautiful employees in town. Always happy always courteous. This is one of the "few" places in town that you can ALWAYS count on great service. ALWAYS. That's rare. These ladies take an extreme amount of pride in their products. I love this place, and I don't get over there nearly as much as my tastebuds would like. I travel to cancun yearly. Kaluas is my cancun here at home. Did I mention how beautiful the staff is? Let me start off by saying I’m originally from Deep South Texas and I’ve lived in Little Rock for 7 years. I’m always looking for places that remind me of “valley” style Mexican snacks. We’ll look no further!! This place is it!! This place has the best elotes hands down in all of Little Rock and probably Arkansas! The Chile for the Elote reminds me of South Texas in Mcallen!! There Prepared Apple with chamoy/tamarindo with gummy’s and candy is the best!!! If you want authentic Mexican snacks this is the place to go!!!
