I would give zero stars if I could. We just ate here on Christmas Eve and the owner was very attentive and kind until the check came. The food was delicious but to our surprise we ended up paying $33 per person. A whopping $200 on Christmas Eve. We had cold macaroni and cheese, some fish, rice and red beans and pork and plantains.I would’ve expected to pay $12-15 per person but $33?!?!
This really seems excessive especially when we ate on styrofoam plates and cheap plastic utensils, not to mention a nasty bathroom without toilet paper soap or towels to dry hands. The owner even mentioned this was primarily a take out spot and not a sit down restaurant.
Very disappointed and felt like a Merry #%*%&@ Christmas %?#% SLAP. Our entire party felt taken advantage of and it really stripped the Christmas spirit from us all. We’re Going caroling now to try to salvage Christmas! Tiny Tim won’t get his crutch this year at $33/person. Stockings will not be filled. #feelingbetrayed

Read moreThe food taste good (depending which day you go) but if there was a 0 stars option that's what I would choose. I found this hole-in-the-wall joint when they first opened, attended their grand opening and it became my spot every Friday for dinner. One Friday, to my surprise, there were pieces of glass in my food. It sent me to the ER. I informed the owner, his initial response was that no one else complained about glass. I spoke to him again the next day, and he claimed that a blender broke in the kitchen. I didn't believe him, and I haven't eaten there since. My advice if you're going to eat there is to proceed with caution. I surely will never return and will never recommend this...
