I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering from this terrible restaurant. If you love yourself just don’t even bother and I must say, it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The service was beyond terrible, and the owner's attitude was shockingly rude and disrespectful. I feel compelled to share my experience so that others can avoid the frustration and disappointment I went through.
First and foremost, the delivery time was outrageously delayed. I patiently waited for over 6 hours, expecting my food to arrive any moment, but it never did. To make matters worse, every time I contacted the restaurant to inquire about the delay, the owner provided nothing but empty promises and false reassurances. It was incredibly frustrating to be constantly misled and kept in the dark about the status of my order.
Finally, after enduring hours of waiting, the owner had the audacity to cancel my order without any prior notification or explanation. This level of unprofessionalism is simply unacceptable. Cancelling an order after such an extended wait time demonstrates a complete disregard for customers and their time. It was a clear display of incompetence and lack of respect for patrons.
Adding insult to injury, the overall quality of the service and the restaurant itself were far from satisfactory. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive, paying no attention to the needs of the customers. The owner's rude behavior towards me and others in the establishment was shockingly unprofessional. It was evident that they had no regard for customer satisfaction or basic courtesy.
Moreover, the condition of the restaurant was subpar. The cleanliness left much to be desired, and the ambiance was far from inviting. It was evident that the owner had neglected the maintenance and upkeep of the place, further reflecting their lack of commitment to providing a pleasant dining experience.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against patronizing. My experience was marred by an unacceptable wait time, unfulfilled promises, rude and disrespectful behavior from the owner, and an overall poor dining environment. There are plenty of other establishments in the area that value their customers and provide exceptional service. Spare yourself the frustration and disappointment, and look elsewhere for a satisfying...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into Moji, it didn’t feel like a restaurant—it felt like home. Not just any home, but one filled with love, soul, and care, where we were embraced like family. It was as if Tumak and Moji were our parents welcoming us back after a long journey—kind, joyful, and genuinely happy to see us. That level of warmth isn’t something you can fake; it comes from the heart, and their hearts are in every inch of this place.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every bite carried the heart of Africa—rich, bold, and deeply flavorful. The jollof rice was perfectly spiced, the goat stew was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the suya skewers had just the right amount of smoky heat. Even the sides, like the crispy fried plantains and sweet puff-puffs, were so well made they instantly brought comfort. You could taste the love and tradition in every dish.
One of the most special parts of the evening was Tumak and Moji themselves. These two aren’t just owners—they are the soul of the restaurant. Their energy was contagious, their hospitality genuine, and their pride in what they’ve built was inspiring. They didn’t just serve the food—they shared it with us, making sure every guest felt seen, welcomed, and appreciated.
And then came the dancing. As the music picked up, Tumak and Moji invited us all to join them. Without hesitation, we were on our feet, dancing, laughing, and celebrating together like one big family. It was spontaneous, joyful, and unforgettable. That moment turned dinner into something much more—an experience we’ll talk about for years to come.
The presentation of each dish matched the taste: colorful, vibrant, and full of personality. Everything on the table looked as good as it tasted, and the attention to detail was obvious. Moji respects tradition while also adding a fresh, stylish touch that makes each plate feel both familiar and new.
In the end, Moji isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of culture, flavor, and human connection. With food that speaks from the heart and owners like Tumak and Moji who treat you like family, this place leaves a lasting impression. If you’re looking for more than a meal—if you want an experience filled with flavor, music, and warmth—then Moji is exactly where...
Read more(TLDR) In summary: This place has no integrity. They serve the cheapest quality food at a high cost. Around $24.00 for a dish. I found some of the meat to taste spoiled. And full of bones. I cut the roof of my mouth on the bones.
I seriously question the "5 star reviews". They rely on the fact that there aren't any Nigerian Restaurants in the vicinity and charge a premium for their novelty and naivety of their customers.
Thorough Review: I arrived at the location and the place had an unpleasant sent and was dark and gloomy. They were selling clothes in the front. And the restaurant was in the rear. I was not greeted at all. The woman ignored me initially. Being used to poor service and patient. I waited because I wanted to try the food. Being a soup I expected $12 price, they lady quickly and lowly said $24.00. She was not thrilled about the price as well. I was shoked! I was like how much for soup and fufu!!! I was not happy. But I already ordered it, so I took it with me. Hoping it was going to be good. BAD MISTAKE. I had the egusi with poundo (FUFU). And it was the poorest quality of meat. And the FUFU was flavorless. It was a lunch portion. No drink included.
I would not recommend this restaurant because the type of owners. They probably don't care about the customers (I am not sure if they have a lot of repeat customers), but their money (bottom line) is a priority. They need to value their customers who are spending their hard earned money. And actually charge a fair price for...
