⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Makana Kava Bar — Where Magic Meets Perfection
This is by far the best kava bar I’ve ever been to in my entire life. From the moment you step through the doors of Makana Kava Bar, you immediately feel transported into an atmosphere of pure joy and serenity.
Greta, Alejandra, Nulka, Miguel and the entire team deliver something far beyond excellent service — they deliver magic. Every visit is met with warm smiles, genuine energy, and a sense of belonging that makes you feel like part of the family within days. The staff isn’t just friendly — they’re radiant. They make you feel seen, appreciated, and cared for every single time.
And let’s talk about the food — absolutely out of this world. Every bite tastes like it’s been blessed by the same love and energy that fills the entire place. The menu is crafted with creativity and passion, making every dish a comforting masterpiece that perfectly pairs with their heavenly kava.
The owner, with her beautiful spirit and signature magic wand, seems to sprinkle a touch of her own magical aura around the space. You can actually feel her energy — vibrant, kind, and inspiring — flowing through every detail of the bar.
The decor is stunning — cozy, tropical, and uplifting, creating an environment that’s both relaxing and electric at the same time. Whether you’re inside soaking up the ambiance or outside under the night sky, every corner of Makana feels like it’s alive with positive energy.
And if all that weren’t enough — they’re open until 2:00 AM! The perfect late-night spot to unwind, connect, and enjoy great vibes long after most places...

I think it’s best to have an unscented location in general with some scent every now and then, but not constantly.
Great atmosphere and friendly people, the staff is lovely and kind and understanding. However, there does seem to be a disconnect with the staff and owners about multiple complaints from the smell/oil diffuser in the bar. There’s like 100 things I could say about it, but let’s cover the top three.
It seems like the staff has been aware and told the owners to not turn up the scents in the location. In addition to that they have like 5 different scented candles around the space.
I don’t understand why they have an industrial sprayer every 30 seconds putting oil in the air. Some individuals there reported they had significant irritation to the point where they have to change their clothes to avoid the constant sneezing and irritation. This seems to be something typical there.
If I had asthma I would’ve had an attack in minutes. Instead I got left with massive hives after itching my eyes. I’ve NEVER had hives from something in the air, only from things I’ve ingested yet the hives only appeared where I...
Read moreLast Saturday I had an experience that changed my life. I’ve been estranged from my son for years after he came out to us, and I hate to admit that I didn’t take it well at the time. I happened to be in the area on a self realization trip and I saw he left a review for the food here and for Luis. I wanted to feel closer to him in any way I could, so I decided to try it out.
Imagine my surprise when Luis himself was my Kava tender! His smile and warmth immediately put me at ease, and I could see why my son left such a glowing review. He was professional and funny, and by the end of a night I was a grown man in tears as we talked and he told me he actually remembered my son! These are two kindred glowing souls that deserve nothing but love and acceptance!
Luis may have been the man to bring me and my son together and I can never thank him enough, he deserves the world and the food he served was almost as amazing (despite an old man’s tears having soaked them a little).
Thank you Makana Kava, for the meal and for the life changing experience. Hopefully I’ll mend that relationship and be invited to my son’s future wedding (Maybe with Luis?...
