So I come to this Popeyes because I saw an advertisement on TV for a $4 popcorn chicken box so I pull into the drive thru I've already waited about 7 minutes I want to say at an estimate to get to the orderscreen I order the $4 popcorn chicken box she tells me that they do not carry that anymore and I was like well that's kind of confusing because I just saw the commercial last night but I said okay you don't have it let me try the cajun fries and I saw that it had bacon on it so I said can I get it without the bacon because I don't eat pork and then I got one biscuit and I got a small sweet tea she says okay pull to the window I pull to the window she says oh I know you said you don't want pork I think the gravy has pork in it I said oh wow okay well let me come inside I don't want to hold the line anymore I parked my car I go inside and look at the screen and see what else I want to get and on the screen I see advertised the $4 popcorn chicken box and I said I thought you didn't carry any more you have right here on the screen she says oh no it's up there but we don't carry it so I said okay I continue to look at the menu and then I see that they have advertised a $5 chicken tender goldfire strips box I said let me get that she says oh we don't carry anymore and I said well you have it up here as if you do carry it maybe you should take it down I said that's false advertisement then after all that I just decided to get my money back she asked me for my receipt I give her my receipt I said just refund me back for the fries I'll keep the biscuit and the drink so the manager decides to refund me my whole order on my card then to have to be recharged again for the items that I'm keeping I said why didn't she just refund me back what I didn't want now I have to wait 5 to 6 business days to get the refund back on my card and then now my card is being charged again I'm just really will never go back to Popeyes because it's not the first time it happened they had an advertisement up on TV once before about some$5 box I go there the next day and they tell me they don't carry that so was the advertisement on TV and what they actually carry in the stores are two different things I can understand by went like a month later no I'm going the next day I'm staying home that looks good let me try that out I go there and they don't carry it so I don't know if they're doing this just to get you in the door or what's going on but I'm done...
Read moreLong story short: My MASHED POTATOES took over half an hour to prepare because employees were fighting.
Atmosphere: From the moment I walked in, the place smelled like they mopped up a huge spill with dirty water and the ground was slightly sticky in some places and sightly slippery in others.
Customer Service: The main cause of my longest trip to Popeye's ever is not due to the fact that they were debuting the chicken sandwich, or because it was around 9pm, and people were heading home from work. It wasn't even because 3 Uber orders got placed back to back as I stood 2 places from the front of the line. It took this staff over half an hour to serve me a simple order or mashed potatoes because the employees preparing the food started arguing and fighting in front of all the customers....on the day of the chicken sandwich debut. Police arrived on the scene 10 minutes after the incident, and the employee at fault (a fully grown adult) made no effort to comply with the authorities.
Management: The manager and assistant manager on site might as well have been deaf, blind, and mute as they made no visible effort to deescalate the situation. They made no effort to pick up the slack of the missing employees upon arrival of the police. Above all, at no point in my entire visit--watching the escalation, climax, and ending of this incident--did the manager or assistant manager ever think to simply apologize to the customers for the inconveniences.
This place is simply still open because just about everyone around me didn't seem to care enough about the whole issue to file a formal complaint, much less write a review.
Mind you, I've seen fights in the workplace and in school all my life, growing up in inner city Miami. This, however, was...
Read morePopeye's Chicken, is good. You can have a choice of hot and spicy, or mild, or plain. This chicken, is not cooking oil. It is broiled. Which is much healthy. Then fried. Of course. Drive-thru is quick. Just remember, to make sure all your items are in the bag. They're pretty good, at making sure everything, you ordered, is in your bags before they give it to you. You can pay cash or by debit or credit card. To have seating inside. Sometimes outside seeing as well. Once again, eyes and ears open. I want you to enjoy a nice dining experience, but a safe one as well. You can order the clang, left potatoes, or there special mashed potatoes with gravy. They're both delicious. An order of large fries is huge, in a big box. Enough for four people. And it is at low cost. With $32. You can feed a family of four. I rather eat there, then Kentucky Fried Chicken. My other choice besides Popeyes, is for you to be kind. You can never go wrong with them. Everything is flame-broiled. The ribs are great. Popeyes doesn't sell ribs. And their food is not flame-broiled. It beats KFC. Once again, remember not to leave small children in cars. Not even for 2 minutes. The sun in South Miami, but is very unforgiving. Make sure it's a lot all doors. Did not leave valuables in sight. I hope I was very helpful this evening. So now David Lawrence signing out. I'll be back online tomorrow morning enjoy the rest of your evening. They have bathrooms as well. And disability...
