100% recommend this place!! Was in town with the wife at a vender event at the Carlisle Expo Center ahe was working at and we were looking for something other than fast food, came across The Original Official BBQ on the Google map and decided to give it a try. Definitely was the best choice!! Ordered a pulled chicken meal and pulled pork meal to go. Both had cornbread, baked macaroni & cheese and smoked baked beans w/ brisket in them. The pork and chicken were juicy and tender, baked mac & cheese and cornbread were delicious and the smoked baked beans w/ brisket were SUPER DELICIOUS!! Also, I recommend the sweet heat sauce as well! More small businesses need owners like this place! He apologized for being short staffed and for me having to wait (which was only a few minutes) described everything they had available today and talked u til I left. We will definitely be back soon! First time coming to this restaurant and after reading the reviews, we were very excited to try a new bbq place. To start, the front of the store had dirty dishes in the seating area and the staff provided us outdated menus with wrong pricing and wing quantities. We can get over that. Next we ordered a coke soda to go and we were handed a Diet Coke. We can also get over that. Then we tried to eat the food. The wings were terrible quality with actual hair and feathers still on the skin. The mean was dry and extremely tough. Out of all of the bbq shacks and food trucks and restaurants that I have been to, the Mac and cheese has always been homemade and never disappoints. Trying to start conversation owner walks in the room and acts rude. He's a very egotistical man. The guest service was not good not even a smile from that man the woman behind the counter great funny gets the job done. Pay 60 dollars for a wide range of sides and 2 main portions, the all of the food was old the Mac and cheese was bland and came home like a brick the baked beans are not baked there BBQ beans just tastes like BBQ sauce the ribs came dry only part of the meal that was tolerable and the the pulled pork sandwich was mostly fat and cold the green beans were good they tasted amazing and the sweet heat BBQ sauce was good definitely worth buying a bottle of you interested in that.
