The rooms are amazing, and the staff is super friendly.
I am happy to share my positive experience at the IHG hotel Carlisle Barracks. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly smile from the receptionist. The hotel’s contemporary decor and stylish furnishings were a sight to behold, making me feel like I had stepped into a luxurious sanctuary.
The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a plush king-size bed and modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV and high-speed internet. The bathroom was immaculately clean and stocked with fluffy towels and premium toiletries, making me feel pampered and relaxed.
The hotel’s location was also a big plus, situated near many local attractions and popular restaurants. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and provided great recommendations for places to visit and dine.
One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast buffet offered each morning in the hotel’s restaurant. The selection was impressive, with everything from fresh fruit and yogurt to eggs and bacon, and the service was top-notch.
Throughout my stay, the staff at the IHG hotel Carlisle Barracks went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. From the housekeeping staff keeping my room tidy and well-stocked to the front desk staff who provided exceptional customer service, every member of the team was friendly and accommodating.

Read moreBeing a Marine family we enjoy the advantage of staying on base whenever we can. Carlisle is the best of both worlds--military history run by IHG. This visit found us in the ground floor of Ashburn hall, where check-in is located. On our last visit we were in a 2nd floor suite in Pratt. Both are lovely and impeccably clean, with nice bed linens. ||||Our room has a comfy queen bed with good pillows, a desk, large dresser and tv, comfry wing chair, and kitchen nook with decent sized refrigerator and microwave. The high ceilings and two large windows make the room feel even more spacious. At this time of evening, around 10:30, we can hear trains nearby, but it's unlikely to be a bother.||||This lodging is used for visitors to the Army War College and as such, would make a good home away from home for several days, if necessary.||||Breakfast is more than adequate, similar to what you'd have in a chain hotel. Wifi is free and fast. Full complement of tv channels.||||There is no fitness room in the building but guests may use the base gym, although we haven't had the chance or time to do so.||||There is no room service but some local restaurants deliver.||||Note that you must have proper documentation to enter...

The staff here is very helpful - never once was I made to feel like I was disturbing them for any request. I was surprised to see that they even offer their guests masks and hand sanitizer to use if they wish which I certainly do. The room itself was quite comfortable and the bed and linen fresh. Furniture is a bit dated but ain't all army hotels that way? The base itself is awesome. Amazing that in a lifetime in the Army, I had never been to Carlisle Barracks before. There's a small PX and a decent size commissary here, and my favorite part was walking around this historic base and the golf course. Oh right next to the golf course is the Heritage Center where there is a multitude of static displays and military equipment outside to check out. I think that's located on a part of the base that the public is it allowed to access as well. Anyway job Wendy to you and your staff. Thanks for giving me this well needed bit of tranquility (which was the name of my room). Oh yeah where were you by the way? Were you...
