Big Dipper Creamery in North Oaks is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves high-quality ice cream with a wide variety of flavors. Today, I tried their brownie deluxe and pistachio combo, and both flavors were excellent—rich and satisfying. Previously, I had their brownie fudge and chocolate combo in an Oreo-dipped sugar cone, which was equally delicious. It’s really sad how poor the service is here. The staff are downright RUDE/horrible. We live in the neighborhood and sadly every time we go here it is the same. We come after sports practices looking for a sweet treat (and honestly there’s places with better ice cream and better selection), but every time we come I feel remorse that I even spent my money here. It’s convenient, and that’s about the only thing good about this place. If you want nice service and polite hospitality-you’re out of luck with this place. I do understand that they are mostly are teens working here, but they lack all basic social skills whatsoever. Have been going to the Big Dipper in Blaine for years and always enjoyed it. When this one first opened, I feel like it was a bit limited. Now, it's been open a while and I feel like they are rolling.

Big Dipper actually makes their own ice cream instead of simply dipping someone else's ice cream. They have quite a number of flavors and they do change at times. The North Oaks store doesn't have as many flavors as Blaine does but it does have a great selection. All the flavors I have enjoyed are there.

On a nice day, the place was hopping but the line moved quickly and people were very friendly.
