If I could give them 0 stars I would. I do not know why I continue to give this restaurant chances. The last 4+ times I have been there our food has been cold and wrong. Not to mention that if you only have to wait 30 minutes past the confirmed pick up time that is considered fast for them, as the normal wait time is more like an hour after the confirmed pick up time. Today My wife made an order that was confirmed to be picked up by 6:40 pm. I got there and did not get my order until closer to 8:00 pm. Then when I got home the order was wrong and missing items the salad dressings for both my wife's and my salad it was also missing the complete order of chips and queso. At lease my children's food was ok and they could eat it. I went back to get the rest of my order. Keep in mind I live 10-15 minutes away so that is 20-30 minutes of more wasted time. I let one of the workers know what was missing and she goes to get the items. As I am waiting I see that they have a table of take out orders and are allowing customers to come and sit at the table and wait without masks on. They were also allowing customers to rummage through the orders to see if their order was there. I then watch as a female worker walked out of the kitchen with a mask around her neck but not covering her mouth and nose. What the ####! I understand that Covid has made things crazy. My wife and I are both essential workers and have had to continue to work with new, difficult, and cumbersome guidelines. However to allow your workers to violate basic guidelines from the WHO, CDC, and Health Dept. is not acceptable. You do not know who does and does not have Covid, you do not know who is asymptomatic, and you do not know who is taking your food home to eat and who it will effect. Your gross negligence could/will real impact on people. Think about the other essential workers that you have a very real possibility of spreading Covid to and where these other essential workers are employed. I saw many people in scrubs picking up food from this location. Have some basic human empathy. You pass Covid onto a health care worker who takes care of compromised people and they very well could DIE. I mentioned my concerns to one of the employees and asked if I could speak to the who ever was in charge and was told by one of the workers he is to busy to speak to me. I am very tempted to contact the health dept. and let them know of the issues that I personally witnessed. Also I will no longer be spending my money to help keep this local business running during these hard time due to their lack of business/customer service acumen and sheer disregard for their customers and others...
Read moreOn June 3rd My fiance came to pick up two beef burritos enchilada style to go. It took 45 minutes between waiting in line and waiting for them To make it. He said he was asked 4 times what he ordered and all the bins were empty so they had to refill to get what he wanted. He brought it home, it was terrible. The meat had no flavor it was so dry I couldn't swallow. We both didn't eat more than a couple of bites, we saved the food and the receipt. We tried to get a refund the very next day. By bringinging in the uneaten meals and receipt. The manager said they cant do a refund it is no longer in their system so the manager wrote their name on the receipt and wrote 2 free meals ( the total of what was bought was $20 and some change) so on June 9th we try to go again. This time dining in. I brought the receipt the manager had given us. We waited in line for 25 min to even get to order. My fiance dared to get the beef burrito again. I got a pork barbacoa salad and I ordered a pork burrito to go for my daughter for later. After making my fiance burrito which was beef she put pork on top of it. I believe bu mistake but my fiance does not eat pork and was disgusted by this. When it came to my salad they took an old tortilla that had been sitting out with melted cheese on it. When I ate it. It was so hard. It was terrible. I asked for jalapenos added the man responded are u sure they are really hot for a white girl like you. Now I'm far from uptight, so I was not offended but it just seemed like something you dont say to a customer because you never know. They also put the tiniest bit of meat on my salad. My daughters to go order had the same problem barely any meat at all. It was like a rice burrito. Now to check out which was the worst. I presented the receipt to the guy at the counter where he called someone over for assistance. So she told him take this off and that and then they gave me a total of a little over $10. I asked did you take off the $20 and change. And they said no we took off $17. I told them we should get the full amount of what we paid last time off. Why should we have to pay we returned the food and was invonvienced by driving there each time. So she did something else and said the total would be $7 and change which sounded right so I gave my card. I took the receipt and card and put it in my purse. We ate on the patio. We were disappointed but we just usually aren't complainers and we said nothing. On the way home I looked at the receipt and see that I was in fact charge the $10 and change only the $17 was deducted. I feel like I was stolen from. I will never go back to the location in north...
Read moreThere's a lot right here and the one thing food wise really wrong Is their lovely looking fresh baked tortillas. I've tried them as a quesadilla, burrito, wetted with sauce, holding a salad, on the side and now ask for none. Too doughy and thick.
The carne asada filling is nice but not a top choice. Lightly flavored and might be better cooked to medium rather than well done. Pleasingly, there was no grissle nor chunks of fat. I have a friend whom likes the steak best but after trying carne asada, I'll stay with the other uniquely delightful feelings.
First choice is the hatch chili pork, second is the sweet pork. But I have only tried three fillings.
There's so much to like here where do I begin? The salsa they serve with the chips is a must-try. Yum!! I enjoy mixing the jalapeno with green sauce for a wet burrito.
The chicken tortilla soup is put together before your eyes and heavy with nicely prepared chicken. The broth contains diced carrots and had a dollop of guacamole inside. Instead of the tortilla I ask for more crispy strips.
Both of their salad dressings are unique and delicious the one I enjoy most is the sort of tomatillo ranch. As I age sweeter foods are less appealing. Otherwise, I would favorite the more uniquely delicious vinaigrette.
The employees work to please are friendly when not focused on speedily getting orders to perfection. The dishes come together promptly with perfection.
They have four specialty drinks all of which are good. The horchata is passable, but not my favorite. The top choice is the lime mint. Chunks of mint are rapidly swirling in the dispenser before your eyes. The flavor is worth a visit just for the drink. Those watching their sugar the strawberry lemonade is made with stevia. I'm a big fan of ginger except in drinks. The lemon, orange ginger is 3rd on my list.
If everything else wasn't so right I would have cut a star due to lack of ability to get the tables clean. They need glass placed over the top of their (sticky, some filthy) heavily painted tables ... particularly those by the window that get sun's heat. Avoid like the plague. They're so awful they are unhealthy and should be removed. A folding card table put in their place would be an improvement.
Yes, there's so many other things right that what is wrong cannot negatively impact my recommendation. The store manager listens and tables should be taken care of soon. If not the case, I must dock one...
