Ya Hala Bakery & Grill — Restaurant in North Olmsted

Based on their attitude, Ya Hala deserved no stars. The customer service is awful. Not sure if the older lady is the owners wife. she is rude and didn’t want to help me. The older man told her there’s someone at the register. she refuse to help me. She said “I’m tired “!! . This happened to me twice. I left my things in the cart and left the store. Another time I ordered falafel, it tested like soap 🧼. I would’ve complain, but I know the customer service is not good. Another time I went to pick up someone’s order ( prepped seasoned chicken) And OMG ! The lady at the register was so awful. I gave her the name of the order . she was pretending to look for the chicken around and under the register 🤯 . She was so lazy, she didn’t want to move an inch. She start pretending she was moving the pita bread as if the chicken is underneath the stacks of pitas 🫓. She asked me where is the chicken? I told her it’s seasoned chicken it’s probably in the refrigerator. She huffs puffs because she had to move and go get the chicken. If I ever go to Ya Hala , it’s because my mom ask me to . I've been on a shwarma kick lately and noticed these folks on door dash. Was in the area so stopped in. I saw this dish of lamb and rice by the grill. I was intrigued to say the least. I asked what it was and to my surprise, I was provided a good portion to try. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much. The meat looked dark and possibly dry. My first bite got me hooked. I wish I could tell you the name of this dish, but if you're a fan of lamb...you gotta give it a shot. The many different flavors all combined were to die for! I have to say this place has a great grill cook!! So far I have gone back 2 times. I have tried the gyro sandwich and the #2 skewrer meal for one person. I enjoy shopping for groceries while the nice and helpful line cook prepares my food. This is a grocery store and has a deli/to-go hot food restaurant and Hala butcher inside. What a gem! Right next to Giant Eagle. I am impressed with the scale of spices and dried herbs they have. The fresh feta cheese is out of this world! Best I've ever had. The employees are friendly. They are helpful if you need to find something but not in your way.
